Just a quick breeze through some of the other clubs we know and love and what happened to some of our opponents over the last few years
National South After 3 or 4 times when they were relegated but another clubs demise saved them, Weston finally get the drop by finishing bottom of the league. Truro join them too meaning the 2 most extreme south west sides in that league leave it in opposite directions.
Bostik Prem I'm sure you know the Bobbins play Merstham in a play off, but of course congrats to Mr Mckimm for getting Tonbridge into the other play off spot. Former big spending Whitehawk continue their downward spiral and are relegated, and Kingstonian were not far off, only 4 points in safety.
Evo-Stik premiers, where our former league opponents Kettering romped away with the title, as did another former opponent, Weymouth. Met Police and Salisbury have made the play offs and face off at Imber Court on Weds. At the bottom, aside from the long known demise of Staines, Basingstoke also drop whilst Gosport (Managed by Craig McAllister and assisted by Matt Tubbs) survive by 1 point to stop their free fall.
Bostik regional, Hayes and Yeading start their slow climb up whilst Molesey and Egham drop to Combined Counties level. Tooting just miss out on a play off. Cray Wanderers also win their league.

Do you understand the play offs below the premier divisions of the bostik/evo etc. It appears that a number of clubs have to go through the play off motions without any hope of being promoted due to the average points/12 teams into 8 places kinda set up. Seems insane to ask teams to compete under those circumstances. Unless all the 6th place teams win?

Check out a tweet from @bedfordtown if you have time. They have made the play offs but can't get promoted if they win their play off games as they haven't amassed enough points per game. They're still going to go for it though. Absolutely a farcical situation that I hope never happens again.

They are a bit baffling aren't they? FWIW I think it's both silly and unfair but who cares what I think

And a lot of people wonder if the National and lower league bods think at times what the repercussions of their rules/regs and actions can lead to.

It's actually the FA who administer The Pyramid and their ongoing restructuring at Steps 4 and below is causing much anguish. However, the FA is trying to cut down travelling for the lower based clubs by adding new divisions, hence the current issues with the p/o's. Clubs were aware of this at the start of the season.

Dare I ask if anyone’s going along to Carshalton v Merstham tonight in the Bostik play-off tie? (Haringey host Tonbridge in the other tie).
In the Southern Prem last night Met Police edged out Salisbury 3-2 and Poole beat Taunton on penalties so face each other in the final on Monday.

In the Evo-Stik South Prem, there's no dates yet for any play off games. Seems like Stratford Town, who finished 5th could have fielded an ineligible player and therefore face a points deduction, so the League and FA are investigating before they schedule any games.

The Evo-Stik Premier play offs this weekend will see the 2 teams, South Shields and Warrington Town, (who finished 15 & 18 points ahead of 4th placed Nantwich town) contest Saturdays final. Tough ask for our local team away at South Shields since the hosts have only lost once at home all season...although intriguingly that was to Warrington! At least the battle cry is the same...Come on you Yellows!!

Whoever is in charge won't move it, so I presume the police won't have much of a team out
