Gateshead chairman seems confident that they have a budget for next season with a mixture of youth and loan players. However i would mark them down for occupying one of the relegation slots come May next year. The fans have deserted them and you'd have to be mad to sign for them surely. I'd be amazed if the National League don't tell them to do one

The chairman is right though. They do need to find a new home conducive to playing football.

The chairman is right though. They do need to find a new home conducive to playing football. With no staff, fans, stadia, training ground or players, the local park would likely suffice. He’s a chairman of a name at the moment, nothing more. I think one of the main points the fans made when they decided to make their own club was that there is no ground in Gateshead that can host step 1 football other than the current one they’ve been kicked out of.

www.gofundme.com/save-football-in-gateshead/Their funding page has numerous donations from orient fans. Perhaps it's only a small minority of them who are unpleasant, as I know there's been a lot of negative comments since our visit to Brisbane rd this season. Regards gateshead, their owner's statements read like the ramblings of a maniac, no wonder they're setting up a new club and best of luck to them. Hopefully they can find a viable home and establish themselves as their current club will either be a memory at worst or rapidly sliding down the divisions at best.
