wasn't that Dos's whole ethic. Players always knew if they tried hard and played well , the club wouldn't stand in the way if and when a better offer came along. With a club like Sutton with limited resources, that seemed to suit everyone and made it even more of an achievement how we have done so well with a constantly changing squad. I'm not on board with this Deacon bashing, I personally can't fault the guy in either of his spells here Deacon will always be a Sutton legend for me. His sterling performances were absolutely pivotal in our incredible cup run, and his away goal against AFC Wimbledon will live long in the memory. Our new manager clearly impressed the board with his vision for the club. Now is the time to impress with new signings capable of replacing what we have lost.. Gonna need more than a couple, from my calculations we’re now 10 players down and only replaced with Dundo....

It was always clear to me that we were a stop gap for Roarie until something better came up. Not sure Havant is better. wasn't that Dos's whole ethic. I'm not on board with this Deacon bashing, I personally can't fault the guy in either of his spells here No one is bashing him. He was a good player in his first spell with us and we all enjoyed his goals especially in the cup run. However if we can't come to an agreement then perhaps he can find a club that meets his requirements.

I for one never expected Roarie to stay for the simple reason that we were unlikely to be able to afford him. We must've afforded him last season. Was he asking for more or were we making a pay cut?

Well i make it we still have 16 players registered with us and we only need to add a few more to start with.

No problem with Roarie. Came back and helped us out when we had few quality players fit. Played out of position in a team that were not winning. Not very enjoyable. Good luck to him wherever he goes but I will be surprised if it is Havant. If it is then respect for Dos is phenomenal.

Just been released by Dundee after a long time out injured. He actually said he wanted to come back south so for half a season it probably suited to help get match fitness. He may also have been still being paid by Dundee if his contract was still running until end of the season.

Take out Brown definitely and probably Wright who will miss the start of the season with their injuries and back down to 15. Dundo is a legend but best days behind him, if we depend on him to get us goals it’s gonna be a long season, so remove him and down to 14. Pearce I believe has proven he’s capable of starting for us but Jude, Bellikli and Lema have question marks over, certainly wouldn’t want to start all 3. That’s 11 national league players plus Dundo and the 3 youngsters. So we must be looking at 5/6 additions. Hopefully Kenny has made a full recovery.

I’d argue too that we might not necessarily need all of Davis, Eastmond, Brown, Barden, Bellikli. Seems at least 1 too many in that area. We now need at least 1 wide midfielder, 2 forwards and 3 defenders. I probably wouldn’t ask Toure to continue personally, not sure what his contractual position is. Let’s see who arrives in due course, very early days.
Good luck to Roarie, was always likely to move on. Shame we weren’t able to see him fully fit and firing, but the game time will benefit him for next season. Hope he gets a good move.

I probably wouldn’t ask Toure to continue personally, not sure what his contractual position is. I think he was brought in on an 18 month contract but I might be misremembering. He’d have been one of the first out for me, thought he was dreadful, could see why Fylde were quick to let him go. Certainly offered less than Jonah or Ross L ever did.

In that case given not on transfer list seems like he’s in the plans currently, though things can change depending on who is available.

For me, whilst he can obviously do a job as a stop gap, he still offers too much as one of the leagues best midfielders to move to that position permanently. Might be a role for him later in his career. I’d also say we’ll need a big physical presence at the back to go with the skip else we’re be very vulnerable aerially.
