Not to cause any idle speculation and of course taking what Dos said on face value, it's going to be interesting to track who will turn up at Havant in the next couple of months. If Dos approaches his new role like he did when he arrived with us (I lost count of how many Eastleigh players turned up for us), then it's likely that a fair number of Sutton connections will be plying their trade at Westleigh Park next season. Seems like Havant have made their 3rd Sutton connected signing (after Dos and Bairdy), and again this is on the running of the club side - www.havantandwaterloovillefc.co.uk/articles/2019/05/03/hawks-appoint-new-commercial-manager.htmlHavant are also making a signing announcement at 4pm today. He's got 9 players from us off the bat to pick from (the out of contract ones and the 5 on the transfer list).

I saw that about Jeremy and IMHO this is a really bad move from our point of view as he bought in loads on the commercial side as far as I am aware. Can see loads following him there...

You’d think Dean, Aswad and Ross would be the prime candidates from the playing staff. All very good for the level.

Jeremy Ramsden operates his own sports company(Abbotts), Sutton is already not the only club that he supports as "Commercial Manager". For example he also works for Dartford and Crawley. Havant is just an extension to his portfolio.

So just to clarify, is he still working for us?

Havant is just an extension to his portfolio. This is true, although he has been announced as their new commercial manager on a 3 year contract. He was never that here, that was (and still is as far as I'm aware) Graham Baker. Is being signed on a contract there really just an expansion of his portfolio?

Yes. He has a recently signed 3-year contract with us too.

Shouldn't one assume that both Ross and Aswad would prefer to remain in the National rather than drop down a league? They're both more than good enough for this level. I can see the logic in Dean going to Havant, though, as his playing years must be numbered.

I was thinking along similar lines, but remember how many players Dos brought to us who would have been more than capable of playing at a higher level. He will want to do the same at Havant.

With 4 southern teams relegated this year plus the uncertainty around Ebbsfleet there is gonna be a shortage of places for players to go in the south. Some very good national players are going to have to play at Step 2. The Nat South title race next year could be one of the best for a long long time

Beckwith. And Havant announced the signing at exactly 4pm, as stated.

So much energy and enthusiasm coming out of Havant, Dos like a good general knows how to rally his troops, and spread believe.

......the merry go round of players happens every year, in the NLP on Sunday it said that Dover had released 11 players, which was surprising after their late run which took them clear of the drop zone. Re Sutton to Havant I am sure there will be several players, after all DOS brought them to Sutton in the first place.

They could have worded it better! Their tweet says "The Hawks are pleased to announce Dean Beckwith as our first summer signing from Banjo.".
