Havant only need to sign two more of the Sutton squad to make it worthwhile running a coach for players from GGL to their ground on match days.

To be fair, Nicky has been an ex-Sutton player for pretty much a month now!

To be fair, Nicky has been an ex-Sutton player for pretty much a month now! Plus injury prone, but still a club legend, so thanks for all you did for the club 👍

Good player when fit but i think we only got half a season out of him due to injury. If Havant pay him on a match by match basis its probably a good move for the club otherwise could prove expensive.

Remember seeing Nicky scoffing a bag of chips on his way into the ground quite late one Saturday afternoon. Then he played a blinder.
Always thought we missed a trick second time round, playing him so deep.Relieved of defensive duties his skills would have provided plenty of scoring opportunity's for our strikers.
Having said that I suppose he had the main say on where and how he wanted to play.

At the moment it just feels like we are being violated by H&W, they pretty much have a full squad capable of gaining promotion back to the National now.

Violated? The only player they have that we wanted is Roarie and we couldn’t agree terms with him.

I don't know anything about terms offered or not to Roarie, but it does feel rather like anything which is not bolted down is heading down the A3. You are right it was us who released the players, so no gripes there at all, its now a question of who comes in to replace them. We certainly need defensive cover.

As I said before Dos did exactly the same to Eastleigh when he joined us so there isn't really an issue here. The new Sutton management decided most of these players were surplus to requirements. Personally I think Nicky was one of better ones we released and even not being able to play week in week out, he was still one of a handful of players we had who had skill above NL level.

When Nicky was playing for us, Dos said that he was unable to play two games a week. With our reduced budget that’s a luxury we can’t afford.
Now the thread title is Who is going to Havant? I’m glad to say that I’m not, as it clashes with Scottish League Cup matches, so I’ll be able to put 430 miles between me and potential humiliation.
