Was Roarie lacking ambition when he came to us either time? Or Eastmond when he came to us. Or Bailey? Players dropping down levels to play for us was fantastic but a player dropping down a level to play for someone else lacks ambition. Very saddened by this - my Boy idolized him and was lucky enough to be mascot twice and meet his hero. Having taken an age to get him to come to Sutton and with all his so called mates with their Barca shirts abusing him I don't know what the future holds. I'm not saying Roarie should have stayed for the benefit of my Son - kids need role models. The fact that he said at 8 years old he's chasing money worries me - not for his future but ours as a Club. Everyone needs to better themselves so if Roarie felt he couldn't do it here so be it. Lack of ambition agree. If the board are reading this please become a bit more active as to what is going on - to say contracts expire 30th June then why are so many players being signed elsewhere. I really want to come to this Club with my son as an old man - I fear he'll be drawn away - don't let the good work be undone.

You could tell your lad that supporting a local club like Sutton, with all their ups and downs, is building his character, whilst his so called mates, supporting teams like Barcelona, are just gloryhunting
He will thank you in years to come

I don't think he had anything to prove coming back to us. He just needed to get playing again. It does though seem a retrograde step to go to Havant unless they're planning to do a Salford. i meant on his first spell, obviously he had nothing to prove second time around. you always seem to get the wrong end of the stick dave

If Roarie does set the NLS alight he will have left Havant by January. He is represented by an agent and as Dos always said he will not stand in the way of player progression. Perhaps he was offered a more flexible deal at Havant? He may not even be on contract.

Roarie is a great player on his day there is no question about that but it isn't like we have lost Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo is it?
We managed to finish 3rd the season he wasn't with us in the NL so maybe wait and see who Matt can attract to the club before panicking.
Roarie obviously didn't want to stay here and that is up to him, whatever the reasons were, but I would rather have a player that wants to be here playing for SUFC at National League level putting themselves in the shop window for a move higher, not lower.

I watched a Dundee game earlier this year - one of the last before he left - and he just didn't look bothered. No tracking back and looked alienated from his teammates on the pitch. To be honest he looked a shell of what he was when he left us.
That gave me some worries when the return was announced but with us I cannot fault the effort he put in and his attitude looked good, if subdued. If he needs to rebuild and he feels most comfortable doing that under Dos, then good luck to him and I wish him all the best.
Echo guildrover above - I really don't get the panicking! Give Matt a chance, it's mid-May lol.
