This should be a good test tomorrow against what should be a strong Chelsea team. Not sure where their first team are on Saturday but i believe 1 or 2 over age players can play at that level.
Last year we got beat 2-0 so mayb we can improve on that this year.Hopefully it will be a decent crowd.

They're playing Reading on Sunday. I did wonder if they might give Kante a bit of a run out.

Who was the goalie we borrowed from them a year or so ago?

Who was the goalie we borrowed from them a year or so ago? Do you mean Karlo Ziger, who played in our Trophy defeat at Spennymoor in January? According to the preview, he could be in goal for Chelsea today.

2-2. Jarvis and Collins for Sutton, Chelsea getting a late, deflected equaliser. I wasn't at the game, so will leave comment to those who were.

I think we look a better team than last season and until we come across teams in our own division its difficult to assess. Saw some great great crossing and a solid midfield so looking forward to the trip to Hartlepool next Saturday.

Did Chelsea have any of their first team out?

No, unders 23s. Best known player was probably George McEachran. Just my opinion, I thought their best player on the day was Billy Gilmour (Scottish midfield player signed from Rangers)

As those of you who were at the game yesterday would have known, there was a bucket collection to try and raise money for St Basils, a charity targeting a reduction in youth homelessness
I was hoping to raise about £70 before the day begun, something which I actually thought would be fairly ambitious
I couldn't quite believe it when counting the money up after the game - in the end we hit £154.19!
HSBC match every pound raised as well, so overall that's over £300 raised for St Basils
Thank you so much to everyone who donated, and a special mention to Matt Gray and the players who got fully behind it - you can see exactly what he meant at the meet the manager evening when saying he wanted a squad of good lads as well as good players

I was very impressed with Randall yesterday, I thought he owned that left flank, invariably beat his man when he wasnt having his shirt pulled, and consistently delivered quality balls into the box. Milsom's crosses and corners were also excellent, with his balls in setting up both our goals. We just need to watch out for that gap at left back on the counter when he takes set pieces on the far side.. I thought Jarvis was tireless, challenged for every ball, competitive throughout. It's always encouraging to see new signings to do well pre-season against organised opposition.
