No, unders 23s. Best known player was probably George McEachran. Just my opinion, I thought their best player on the day was Billy Gilmour (Scottish midfield player signed from Rangers) Brother of Josh who used to play for Chelsea but I don't know if George has played for anyone else. And of course Ziegler did come on for the last 30 minutes. Looking at us though it looked encouraging. Number 30 (Milson?) looked useful as well as Omar and Jarvis.

Yes, Rob Milsom was our number 30, slightly obfuscated by the fact he had another player's name on his shirt, presumably because he has yet to sign for us. Judging by his performances so far, the left back position is his. If he does end up signing for us, I would expect him to be allocated number 3, as that number's up for grabs following the departure of Aswad Thomas...

Late input from me. Entertaining fixture that Chelsea started with a more robust approach than you'd normally expect from an U-23 team.
Thought we should have had a pen when Harry B seemed to be caught from behind in the process of shooting in the first half. An accurate long ball did for U's to allow Brown his third goal in two psf against Sutton but two well delivered corners from the impressive Rob M found the heads of Aaron J and skip befire a deflection took a well struck shot beyond the grasp of Jamie B. U's keeper made a fantastic save from a free-kick early in the second half.
Listening to Matt G's interviews before this match, it looked as if he may have set up his team for the away trip to Hartlepool in terms of shape if not personnel. Obviously nowhere near the finished article with so many new faces but the side has an experienced and competent back line complemented by Dan M who has looked good in pre-season and Brad P once his loan ends, should injuries occur.
The side has looked full of energy - I would say, possibly more than at times last season but the real stuff starts next week and a gauge of where we are probably won't be evident until at least ten matches in.

Aye, that was a stonewall penalty for me. But for the foul that shot was destined for the back of the net.

Well he wasn't in their starting XI or on the bench, but that's not to say he wasn't there. Who could resist a day out at GGL...

Yes, he was at GGL on Saturday, or did people think all those camera phones were being pointed at Bruce ? :-)
