Following a hard-earned point down at Eastleigh on Tuesday night, we find ourselves on the road again this weekend at our Thameslink rivals Boreham Wood. Rarely an easy game for Sutton up at Meadow Park - Wood picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday at Dagenham with striker Tshimanga adding a brace to his season tally which stands at 4 already - he’ll certainly need watching tomorrow alongside Tyrone Marsh who’s been signed from Macclesfield.
I’m guessing Randall will miss out due to the ankle injury sustained on Tuesday so Ajiboye will likely come in.
Here’s hoping we can keep our unbeaten run going!

It's the first BW game with their new North Bank stand (officially opened on Weds when Arsenal Ladies played Barcelona Ladies in a friendly). Of course we are segregated so we can only "admire" from afar. Unless it has a capacity of 10, it won't look very full.

I know Boreham Wood get a lot of stick on here but ignoring their Brexit supporting Chairman and knocking us out of the play offs I can't help but admire some of what they do.
The fact they have such small support (they always have and probably always will) they have harnessed other means to help fund them putting out a competitive team at this level and they have invested in their infrastructure. I certainly wouldn't mind similar stands to their two new ones being constructed at GGL.
Regardless of whether it is them funding it or Arsenal, the fact they have utilised a larger neighbour to help progress themselves is smart IMO. They also aren't a boom and bust club and seem happy to organically grow and progress unlike the likes of Salford, Fylde etc.
Obviously I hope we can beat them.

I don't see the point of buying the tickets in advance if they are going to take a £1 ticket booking fee. In my opinion there should be one booking fee for as many tickets as you want to buy.

I thought we might be in for Tshimanga in the close season. Prolific last season for Oxford City in NL South, and he's made a good start at the higher level.
No pub recommendation from me for this trip, as Borehamwood is rubbish for drinking. If you want a decent pre-match pint, go to St Albans!

I got to say, when I saw this post this morning I nearly wet myself, now that maybe because my bladder is going with age or that I split my sides. BW are a small Ryman league North team leaching off of Arsenal Ladies, pitch, stands, infrastructure the lot. They are so far up their own arses you can see them smile when they use them new AFC Wimbledon (named) bogs. They are the only club I know that actively discourages supporters from going. No commentary tomorrow (the only club not to allow it for free) as they want £50 quid, and SUFCtv won't pay it. A couple of season's ago we did have commentary from there, it broke at the start of the 2nd half, they refused to let anyone from Sutton tell Tony, and let him speak to a blank mike the entire half, oh and the steward refused to tell him (20 ft away). I am sorry but BW really are the rudest most obnoxious club you will find on the planet, run purely for some sad gratification of a few board members with the community spirit of a large tub of lard on vacation. Other than that, I can see why people admire them !!!

I’m so glad this falls in the cricket season. Was the top of my wish list. Disgrace of a club.
Have to say also after they beat is in the playoffs as Mr Gatorade was going to his car I wished him luck, as did some others, in the play off final. He said that he really appreciated that.
He then proceeded to drive past us with windows down and horns blowing.
No class whatsoever. A disgrace of a club
Arsenal need to get out of there sharpish

Am I right in "assuming" , as usual, that there won't be any commentary this afternoon due to their "media blackout" ??

The fact you think they are a small Ryman League North club OS and yet they are competing at the same level as us and have been a step closer to league football than us means they are clearly doing something right. Whether you like the way they go about it or not is irrelevant.
I'm not here to defend them I just think it is funny when people call them arrogant and then sound arrogant and bitter themselves in their judgement of them.

Excellent result and good to see Tommy scoring so quickly after coming back from a long injury.
Also excellent to keep our unbeaten run going, keep a clean sheet and win on the road again.
