Has Dylan upset someone he deserves his chance?

Same old story. We haven't got a goalscorer. I think Kearney is out of favour and will go out on loan.

Maybe Matt will answer that in the post match interview? Did seem a little odd swapping Wright for Dundo at that point and I'd be interested to find out the logic behind that.

The answer seems to be that Tommy still isn't fit enough to play for 90 minutes. This was his first start since returning from the ACL injury.
Matt may have felt that Dundo would hold the ball up better in the opposition half.

Matt may have felt that Dundo would hold the ball up better in the opposition half. Which he notably didn't. Not that he was the only one. Still, I imagine that was the plan.

I am convinced there is an art to shooting hard and low on 3G, and Dylan has it. Why that is so I am not sure. I think it may be that the ball is not slowed by the pitch as quickly as on grass (the Jako ball, others are better). This means players shooting a ball moving in the same direction as themselves are stretching a little bit further from their standing foot to the point of impact of their striking foot. That will impart more lift as the toe hits lower down the ball and there will be less mass behind the ball. A shorter player of the same weight as a taller player may have less of a problem.
Dylan proved in a pre-season friendly he can shoot hard and low, and none of the forwards we have tried this season seems to be able to do likewise.

So one area we seem all to be able to agree on is that we are not scoring enough goals. DK was certainly unproven but one could argue never had a chance. I thought he looked like he could make a difference and appeared to have an attitude that we could do with now
In the circumstances why is he still out on loan and not back at GGL?

Matt talked about Dylan at the Meet the Manager evening. The reason he was sent out on loan was because he wasn't fit. If he's regained fitness and started scoring again then we might see him back at GGL before Christmas.

Kearney finally scored for Harrow - a last minute winner at Dorchester. Now lets see if he can build on that!

Sooner the better. I don't agree with weight targets coming before ability on the pitch. Hooking a guy off who isn't scoring and telling him you think it is because he needs to lose some weight is OK, but not giving him a chance isn't. Mick Quinn, Malcolm Macdonald, Matt Le Tissier: none of them looked like they could slim to the physique of Jamie Vardy or Ian Rush but it did not stop them scoring.

Right not scoring goals, so you would think Matt would try something different up top but no sends Kearney out on loan. This is the problem with Matt same old interviews same old tactics, so what’s going on... So if Kearney is not fit enough or confident enough to make The Harrow starting line up why on earth would Matt recall him to ours ?

So if Kearney is not fit enough or confident enough to make The Harrow starting line up why on earth would Matt recall him to ours ? Because MG is in a wretched run of results. His existing strike force is shooting weakly from outside the area having carried the ball that far. So in the present rut he ought to try everyone on the club's books because he has already boxed himself into a corner by saying he will only loan players out - but not take loanees in. Kearney not fit enough or confident enough? Pure hearsay, of no value until the experiment of putting him in a Sutton shirt is done. Will it happen - no MG will plough on hoping for a change of luck. Fingers crossed then.

Fingers crossed then. If you go to the harrow borough reports, it paints a picture of Kearney being a shadow of himself and literally making the team thinking about not extending the loan. That's not exactly hearsay is it. In fact for a club to out right state that in their official match reports implies how off form he has been. 1 player on their own won't be the answer and its folly to imply otherwise. It seems like Kearneys problems extend beyond fitness at the moment.

But Matt Gray says that the loanee club benefits more than the loaner so he must be quite happy.
