Without a ball even being kicked......
I wonder if he would have gone if today's game went ahead and Fylde won.

To be honest the crowd had nothing to cheer today. Not even a shot on target. As for us we didn't even get the chance to park the bus.

Yes,that's the 3rd sacking in about a week. Who's next? It won't be MG,that's for sure,we should stick with him for the rest of the season, come what may-right?

Fylde have made an approach for the Barrow manager.
Following an approach for our manager Ian Evatt Chairman Paul Hornby has released the following statement on behalf of the Owners of Barrow AFC Barrow AFC can confirm that over the weekend we received an approach from AFC Fylde for our manager Ian Evatt. The offer was rejected by the club and after speaking with Ian he is 100% committed to Barrow. Ian is extremely loyal and honest and would like to put on record he had no interest in speaking with Fylde. Ian and his team have worked extremely hard over the last 15 months to get us in this position and in doing so has assembled a great group of players. He has the unequivocal support of the Board and we all believe we can achieve great success this year. The numbers coming through the turnstiles has massively encouraged the Club as a whole, so let’s now turn our attention to The FA Cup on Saturday and support our manager and his team.

Probably a number of reasons why MG won't be the next one e.g. a) He's 16 games into his managerial career b) He's working with a much smaller budget than we've had since we were promoted to this level c) Our board don't sack managers ( I can't recall one manager actually getting sacked - even Ian Hazel resigned and he was by far the worst manager I've seen in my 30+ years of following Sutton) - can anyone answer who was the last manager to be sacked at Sutton? d) Is there actually anyone out there who could do the job better for not a huge fee with one of the smallest budgets in the league who is available and willing? e) Just because some fans have already called for his head (which I think is kneejerk and very short sighted) doesn't mean they are right. And it's the board who make that decision based on a number of factors beyond results (so see all of the above points).

Yes but at the end of the day its a results driven business and no one is bullet proof. Matt must be given time to see if his way of playing proves successful but we don't want to be in a relegation fight for the rest of the season. This season should be a season of consolidation and we have yet to meet a side with whom we can't compete. Just get a few wins under our belt and i'm sure we will be fine.
It will be interesting to see how he views it on Monday.

It will be interesting to see how he views it on Monday. You're right no one is bulletproof and this could all well swing around. But calls for the head of the manager started with some after 10 games. We're not doing well but we've yet to occupy a relegation spot this season. And like I and others said before it's managing expectations. I dont think any of us who know Sutton well thought we'd seriously be challenging for the title this season and I think we all hope for consolidation. Sadly though there are others who only know the highs of the Dos era and expect that to be instantly repeated. They're the voices that want the kneejerk. I dont want to be one of those "we've followed Sutton longer so we know best" but we do have the advantage of experiencing relegation (in some cases all 3 times) and living through that 07 08 season in particular I think gives us a little more perspective on what could be the right course of action. Like you, I'm well in the "give more time" camp.

I hope the board don’t want to go down, so Matt should be no different to other managers, it’s a result business... You’re missing the point. As has been previously stated, time is needed before drastic action is required and there is still time for either the team to click on the field to give us the right results or for a management movement. It may be a result business but it is also a building practice that requires time. And now is not that time to panic or show disrespect.
