I'll settle for a scrappy 1-0 to Sutton.

Unlikeable club with some snidey, cheaty players but if we cant score against them, despite having control, then it is inevitable we wont win

Wow , what an afternoon of drama , the mp’s continue to frustrate , Sutton concede a late equaliser scored by Billericays keeper apparently, VAR causes untold confusion in the Premier League and Haringey apparently walk off in their FA Cup match against Yeovil because of racism . Of all of these , the latter surprises me least . Having been to Yeovil with our lads it is always a very unpleasant experience in my opinion and I am being as polite as I possibly can about their “fans” .

Can't really blame the manager for today, a game we dominated but missed some great chances. Billericay were probably the weakest team I've seen us play since north ferriby, utterly lightweight and nowhere near the level of wealdstone or slough last season. Yet we contrive to let them back into a game which should have been dead and buried, 3-0 at least.
In our defence Julian had the game of his life with 4 top saves and a good headed goal, and the referee was a total joke. Didn't give a clear backpass then gives a free kick for god knows what, was shocking all day long but shouldn't have been able to influence the outcome with the chances we had.
Now we face a replay we shouldn't be playing, their lot will be well up for it, will ours bearing in mind they should now be sitting in the players bar talking about the 3 or 4 goals they scored, not dejectedly wondering how theyve not won? Followed by what is almost becoming a must win league game. Big week, Matt needs to get them into the right frame of mind.....

Just not good enough Matte, yet again we cannot hold on to a goal lead, give a way a stupid free kick and let their goalie score. We realy do need another stricker that can score and if they had had a stricker they would have beaten us and also we are no better than last season somthing must change... Scored early on and instead of pushing for the second before halftime gradually went backwards. Had chances to win the game in the second half as Billericay were searching for an equaliser. W took off both starting forwards, Brought on one who missed two glorious chances and a defensive midfielder to hang on which we did not. Invited Billericay on (who by the way had two on the halfway line when defending a corner and subsequently three of our players marking them). Unfortunately we continue to underwhelm. The players have no confidence and will pass rather than shoot. The system is not working. When will we learn. A defeat on Tuesday and less than 3 points on Saturday will signify a bleak winter.

We go again on Tuesday night but i really feel that we need to play Tom Bolarinwa on the right wing.
Time after time today i witnessed David Ajiboye make the wrong decisions.I'm beginning to think the step up for him is proving too much if we play him every game. He needs to be brought on gradually if he is to become the player we hope he turns into. The same could be said for Jarvis and Bugiel made us look a lot stronger up front until his withdrawal. Hopefully not through injury. Too many chances missed today and will we create as much on Tuesday or will that last minutes goal cost us ?

One goal in 7 and half hours should say something?
Today we bossed the match, were far stronger and should have won at a canter, yet we found ourselves with the prospect of a replay.
Why:
- Woeful in front of goal. - Poor officials - Poor Tactics
To create that many clear cut opening and miss them all shows clearly the strikers are not good enough - End Of.
That was the most obvious pass back I have seen, a pass back becomes deliberate the moment the defender shields the ball and keep picks it up - End of.
The decision to take Tommy off for the last 10mins was shocker, TW is made for the role of lone forward in exactly those circumstances. As soon as that threat was removed it allowed Ricay the freedom to come forward.

I am not suggesting that we jettison MG just yet but I agree that defeats in our next two matches would put his position in jepeordy . It would leave us out of the cup against lower opposition and almost certainly in the relegation zone in the league . I seem to remember that when he was appointed the board stated how strong some of the other candidates were without giving names away , surely some of these people must still be available ? Again , I am not suggesting this course of action just yet but surely somebody in the boardroom must be having doubts by now . If they are not then perhaps back MG with the funds for a loan player or two , this is where a cup defeat on Tuesday must be avoided because a lucrative first round tie would be just the job.

Perhaps it was inevitable that one of our former players would return to punish us. Having made a string of saves to keep his team in the game, Alan Julian came forward in stoppage time to head an equaliser from a free kick. But, as noted both above and by Matt Gray in his post-match interview, had the referee penalised the visitors moments earlier for what looked a clear backpass to Julian then they would not have broken and won that free kick.
Billericay have an experienced squad, but I thought there was a discernible gap today between National League and National League South. We took an early lead when Craig Eastmond, playing at right back, surged forward and rode a challenge before crossing for Omar Bugiel to score. After that though we were let down, once again, by our finishing. Notwithstanding Julian's shot-stopping, we had enough opportunities to have built a bigger lead than 1-0 before the game entered its final few minutes. And that's allowing for the opportunities that they had, Jamie Butler making one fine save at the expense of a corner just before half-time and our old nemesis Jordan Parkes rattling the goal-frame with a second-half free kick.
A number of our fans were unappy that, with eight minutes of normal time remaining, Matt took off Tommy Wright and brought on Jon Barden, leaving Aaron Jarvis as the lone striker. That effectively gave Billericay twelve minutes to push forward and find an equaliser. One of their players duly headed a good chance just wide. That was the warning of what was to come.
It's annoying that we have to travel to Essex for Tuesday's replay but, on today's evidence, we have the players to win that. They just might need to do some shooting practice beforehand.
