Former Sutton left half, Eddie Clack has sadly passed away at the age of 84. He played in the 1963 Amateur Cup Final and played numerous representative matches for FA, Surrey and Athenian League.
Had the good fortune to meet Eddie a few years back and he was full of memories from his playing days.
Condolences to his family on their sad loss.
I believe a full announcement from the club will follow.

I know the name well although he'd ceased playing for the club when I started watching them. RIP.

Probably only a few of us would have seem Eddie Clack play but i'm glad to say i'm one of them. If memory serves me correctly he wore the No 6 shirt and served the club with distinction.. RIP

The picture that was on the Website/Twitter that were removed from same yesterday but unfortunately the programme had already been printed. The picture shows Dave Hermitage with Micky Goodall not Eddie Clack. This was spotted by some older supporters including Nigel Guest and myself when checking through books to celebrate 100years of Sutton United. Apologies to family and friends of Eddie for this error.
