Did anyone watch the same interview I did? Negative, despondent and blaming anyone but the management. I find it hard to back him after that and I can't see anything other than a continued slide. Matt's motivational ability is seriously in question now along with his tactical nous and contacts to bring in any decent loan signings. I seriously hope I'm proven wrong over the next two games but that interview was a horrorshow in negativity It was straight after a depressing defeat. Did you expect him to be smiling and happy. Loads of managers interview like that straight after a game. A good nights sleep and he’ll be as positive as ever going into the weekend.

He did have the air of a broken man, but that may be deceptive. As JR says, any manager is going to be downcast after seeing his side lose 5-2. Dealing with setbacks is all part of management. Let's see how he responds. And you'd hardly expect him to talk about tactical or personnel changes in a post-match interview. These are things for him to reflect on and discuss with his coaching team.

Management is working with and through others to achieve organisational goals, that’s what I was taught. Is this happening?
Leadership is the ability to influence others. Is maybe this occurring too much?
