Can we win three on the bounce? Will Matt stay with the same eleven and play with two strikers?
I will imagine there will be a good following from Sutton. Who will be going to there first away game of the season?

I’ll be in the home end! Son and 3 year old grandson live in Nottingham and son’s in-laws are big Pies fans so no real choice for me as I’m super proud to take my grandson to his first game, following taking my son to his first U’s game at Colchester in the FA Cup in 1993 (most exciting game I ever went to? 4-3 U’s with a flurry of late goals). Trouble was it was hard to explain to a little lad then that not every game was a 7-goal thriller. If I can’t wear my choc n amber scarf in the home end I’ll have to make do with a Surrey CCC bobble hat

Not many of us will have been to Meadow Lane since the memorable 3-2 FA Cup defeat there in January 1994.
Notts go into this game in worse form than us, having only won one of their last six matches (including last weekend's Cup defeat at Northampton Town). Our defence will need to keep a close eye on their striker Kyle Wootton who got the equaliser at GGL in September, and has scored four goals in their last three games. In fact he's the only one of their players to have scored in those games.
My recommended pub is the art deco VAT & Fiddle (Queens Bridge Road NG2 1NB), one of several excellent pubs in the city run by the Castle Rock brewery. I've picked this one out because it's near the station and on the way to the ground. Expect a range of Castle Rock beers and others from local breweries. Food is served. The pub's name is a humorous reference to the nearby Revenue & Customs offices.

I have just purchased my tickets and was surprised to find we are on the halfway line in the Jimmy Sirrel stand.
Here is a review from a Halifax town fan who visited Meadow Lane in September.
Notts County v FC Halifax Town National League Saturday 14th September 2019, 3pm
Why were you looking forward to this game and visiting the Meadow Lane Ground?
Another new ground and not too far from where I live in the West Midlands.
How easy was your journey/finding the ground/car parking?
Very straightforward. The stewards were really friendly and explained where I could park the car near the away end.
What you did before the game pub/chippy etc, and were the home fans friendly?
The steward recommended the Trent Navigation, which was about 5-7 minutes walk. Both fans mixed well and it was a very friendly atmosphere. Recommended.
What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the Meadow Lane Stadium?
A fabulous ground at this level. We were in the Jimmy Sirrel Stand based around the half way line with a brilliant view. Very impressive.
Comment on the game itself, atmosphere, stewards, pies, facilities etc..
Stewards great inside and out of the ground. There is a shop for food and beer if you want inside the ground. The game itself was frustrating as they went down to 10 men after 47 minutes but still managed to score after that and win 1 -0.
Comment on getting away from the ground after the game:
Very easy and about an hours drive home. It was an enjoyable away experience in spite of the result.
Summary of overall thoughts of the day out:
Sunny day, nice pre-match pint and a really impressive ground with genuine fans.

Didn't actually get going until after being 1-0 down. Think we could have got 3 points today if our shooting was a bit better. The ones on target weren't really powerful enough to trouble their keeper. No real chances fell ideally for Tommy so he drew a blank this week. Thought Easty was our best player today.

Quite happy with the point, even though we drop back into the bottom four. For most of the game our forwards were well shackled, but Harry got free at the back stick to slide in our equaliser. Notts shaded the game until the last ten minutes when we might have snatched a winner. A point apiece was a fair outcome.

Fantastic turn out from Sutton fans and we were rewarded with a point. Great to revisit this ground after so long and hopefully with displays like this we shall be going there next season ! Now on to Fylde !

Our first trip back to Meadow Lane after 25 years. Delighted that the away support was positioned where we could watch the match from the halfway line as opposed to some grounds where away supporters are behind the goal or in a corner. We were very well welcomed by the stewards. and their supporters came over as very friendly club. Good support for Sutton, but why oh why so much foul and offensive language in their so called chants. If they did in the street they would be arrested, and the words used I am sure they would say in front of their mother or grandmothers, or perhaps do!!! If they think this enhances SUFC they are misguided.

Coming away from Meadow Lane (yet another one of those grounds we go to and still have to pinch ourselves at the fact we're playing there as divisional equals rather than plucky underdogs) with a well earned and well deserved point. One can't forget that Meadow Lane hosted Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal, Spurs etc as equals within the lifetime of 95% of Sutton supporters that were there on Saturday.
Notts County looked like a mid table side, and in all honesty so did we, and bearing in mind our current position, I'd happily take that. Only 2 sides have come away from there with maximum points this season so far, so coming away with 1 is no mean feat. They may lie in 12, but that's only 8 points above ours, and get a result at Fylde on Tuesday, that suddenly becomes 5. Even when we went 1 down, I didn't think "oh no here we go again" (which to be honest I would have thought a month ago).
Great ground, good performance, nice experience. It's going to grounds like this which make staying in this league so important. Comparing this to something like Concord Rangers just isn't possible!
Eastmond had a great game, but if I was giving MoM, I think I'd give it to Ben Goodliffe. Since Torquay when he's been playing he's looked like a different player - confident and calm.
