I wasn't at the game so can't really give an informed opinion but if you are a Sutton fan, and I'm all for constructive criticism, a post like that will hardly help. Yes, a 0-0 draw on paper against 10 men for 34 minutes or however many it was doesn't look great but a point away in what looked like horrendous conditions isn't a bad point gained. In my humble opinion.

If he means Sutton players then I can’t think what standard Fylde must play to, and remember the playing conditions. If he is a Fylde supporter then bad luck chum try supporting a decent team like Sutton United.

I counted 25 away fans (in the seated section, before Ryan invaded the terraced end). That's about twice as many as Fylde managed in north London early on a Saturday evening. 😁
I'd say most of us were happy with an away point, even though we had a man advantage for most of the second half, the home forward Jordan Williams seeing red for an ugly challenge on Ben Wyatt. (Whoever operates Fylde's Twitter feed thought the card was "somewhat dubious". 🙄) Ben had an excellent game, and was a contender for man of the match.
Fylde started each half strongly, hitting the underside of the bar early in the match and forcing two good saves from Nik Tzanev early in the second period before seeing an effort disallowed for offside. After the sending-off we used the wings to stretch the play but couldn't quite find the killer ball into their box.
With Chesterfield losing tonight we now find ourselves four points clear of the bottom three.

Well done to the 20 odd fans for getting up there and hope all got back safely. No motorway closures probably helped.
Well done to the players for enduring a long coach journey in order to earn a very good point.
As for me, I surpassed my record arriving home on the south coast at 0501the previous being 0415ish after Barrow. Enjoyable trip.

Just got back. No stick of rock for Billy as didn't get a chance to visit Blackpool due to congestion on the M6. Good point especially after the players had to endure a long coach trip up due i guess to financial constraints!
To be honest neither team seemed to want to be on the pitch in the first half but it livened up a bit in the second period. I think we only tested their keeper once in the match and that is a matter of concern for me as we had plenty of possession. Still, out of the relegation zone now. We need to keep pushing clear of the bottom places.
Fylde were poor compared with last season.

Well done to the players for securing a valuable point, well done to the 25 for making it up there and well done to everybody for not reacting to the brainless troll earlier in the thread.

Could someone please take a team/group photo of the travelling Sutton fans if possible ? Thankyou. Here you go Anyone from Boreham Wood would probably say "looks like a decent crowd to me!" Hard fought point, our keeper probably tested a bit more than theirs (they hit the bar and Nik made a great point blank save in the 2nd half), but getting a point there in windy conditions after a long journey off the back of another longish journey is something to be pleased about. I think if we went up there on the date of the original fixture I don't think we would have got anything from it. Although Fylde have improved since then, I think we've massively improved. Standout for me was Goodliffe and Wyatt again, and we also did it without Eastmond too. 1 defeat in 6 now. In the last 6 games, we've jumped from bottom of the form table to 6th. As has been noted a few times on the forum, a number who have been calling for the managers head have gone mute. Credit again to those who had done and now are giving credit where credit is due. We're heading in the right direction now.

It must be a great feeling as the final whistle blows and a 0-0 draw is secured.Fylde on a cold, wet and windy Tuesday night and only 250 odd miles from home.

Yes, it was. Having kept only one away clean sheet all season, and having just one month earlier lost 5 out of the last 6 games - the sixth being a draw at home to a lower league side - it almost felt like a win.

We started brightly with Ajiboye bringing a save from their keeper in the second minute but then Fylde got into the game and hit the underside of the bar. A couple of scary moments but largely untroubled at the back in the first half. We wasted some corners and Kenny skies a poor free kick over.
Second half and Nik made TWO outstanding saves at the start of the half which Fylde threatened to dominate however we gradually got into the game and with their player getting sent off for a rash tackle that helped. After that it was mainly us with Ajiboye putting in some dangerous crosses that just evaded our strikers. He also had a shot straight at the keeper. Rowe had their only chance heading over from a good cross. I thought Louis John had him in his pocket all game. Outstanding. The 2 Ben’s were again outstanding as was Kenny save for his free kick.
Good point really in really tricky conditions against stubborn opposition. Back home at 2am so not too bad

Believe you me Billy,i was glad to get in the car out of the cold weather but a point away from home is not to be scoffed at for teams at this level.

Things have improved a lot since he came into the team.
