At the time of writing there the match is still on, and there's been no indication official or otherwise of any pitch inspections that I can see, it's probably worth starting the match thread for this.
Not for the first time this season we go away to the side top of the form table. Last time that happened was Torquay and it was the start of our change in fortunes.
The main difference between us and the Shaymen has been their ability to win when we've drawn. They've only lost 1 game more than we have, have a similar goal difference and a worse defence than we do. It's their 16 wins compared to our 10 that sees them in 3rd and us in 14th. They've won their last 4 league games, with the most impressive being against another in form side Dover. Other wins have been against Chorley, a faltering Bromley and Maidenhead. 3 of those 4 (aside from Chorley) have been at The Shay.

Halifax did suffer a surprise home defeat last weekend to Halesowen Town in the FA Trophy. As far as I can tell, Halifax fielded a strong side. I expect that Matt or one of his coaching staff watched that game.
My recommended pub is the Three Pigeons (1 Sun Fold, HX1 2LX). About halfway between the railway station and The Shay, it's a 1930s building with an octagonal drinking lobby from which various rooms radiate. Now owned by Ossett brewery, it offers several of their beers plus guest ales from local microbreweries. The pies are excellent!

There is another issue to consider and that is the safety aspect.
Not so much at the game but travelling.
Also will trains get us back to London?
Wrexham have stated safety as a reason for calling off their match with Torquay.

Who was the lucky winner of the day trip to Halifax with the team ? The lucky winner will surely be offered an alternative Ian. No idea who he/she is but maybe Chorley would be a perfect replacement. I’m driving up slowly, whilst checking for postponement every other mile. Hopefully I’ll get no further than the A217.....

Still dry and calm in Halifax at 3.20am. Can’t sleep though!

Just heard. I hope all who have travelled get home ok. I was lucky, notified ten seconds after my train doors closed so only had to go one stop.

I made sure to book a refundable ticket for a train leaving after the 8:00 pitch inspection, but several people travelled up last night - I hope they can make the most of it and have a nice weekend despite the weather and lack of football. Really, REALLY not looking forward to doing that journey midweek again

So what changed overnight to take just a few minutes to call it off?
Should have done it last night like other clubs did.
Fortunately, I hadn't put my card on the reader as I stood at the steps at west Sutton station.
As for those already up there hope you get home ok

Seems that OS is Nostradamus, as the train the team were booked on this morning has now been cancelled too.
