From the Horsham site... "John Maggs' pre-season plans have been hit by the news that Gareth Williams is to undergo a trial with Blue Square Conference South side Sutton United. The 'want away' goalkeeper, who joined the Hornets from Corinthian-Casuals at the start of last season, has cited the opportunity of trying his luck at a higher level as the reason for wanting to leave Queen Street and, although the door remains open for his return, Maggs is naturally frustrated. "Of course I'm disappointed," said the Horsham supremo, "With the squad due back for training in a couple of weeks, I can't afford to hang around so I'm going to have to make my plans without Gareth and I've told him that he will have to fight for his place if it doesn't work out". Did anyone have another keeper on their wish list?

I don't imagine Hogan is about anymore, so we'd need another keeper to keep Phil on his toes. Being a Sutton fan i wouldn't be surprised if he appeared at the club one day!

lol! I feel like one of those England players who found out they've been dropped on Sky Sports News ;D Though i might've known more if i'd actually spoken to him in the last month or so... In my totally unbiased opinion he'd be an excellent signing It's about the only thing he's good at

Didn't he have a shocker against us a few seasons back? Also do I recall much 'ribbing' at said game?
