Johnny Kwango, what a legend he was. I love that Bevis Frond song about him.

The head butt king. All the memories came rolling back, Saturday afternoons, Kent Walton, Dale Martin et al. Those were the days 🤼♂️

George Mclennan, the left back who played a couple of games for the U's in the 16/17 season (most notably provided the cross for Roarie Deacon in the famous 2-1 victory against Forest Green Rovers which set up THAT FA cup run), has joined Maidstone United.
I thought he was going to be an unbelievable signing but his stay at the U's was short-lived as took some time away from football for personal reasons.
He spoke about about his time away from the game and his battles with mental heath issues back in February:
Very best of luck to George at Maidstone. Obviously extremely talented so hope he goes from stength to strength, both on and off the pitch.

I couldn't say anything at the time, but I knew George was experiencing difficulty with mental health issues at the time he was playing for us, because I'm friends with a member of his family. I applaud his courage in speaking about his condition and I'm absolutely delighted to hear he's signed for the Stones. I wish him well, and always will.

Reading the nlp with a less than forensic eye, the following.
Hampton fielded five ex-U's in their starting line up. Tom Lovelock, Rhys Murrell-Williamson (Barnet obviously decided not to take him on), Ricky Wellard, Chris Dickson and Dundo. Dundo set up their goal.
Craig Braham-Barrett at Welling along with Gavin McCallum and of course, Jack Jebb.
Bradley Hudson-Odoi scored for Wealdstone.
Adam Coombes started for Billericay but somewhat over shadowed by Robinson's four goal haul. Still only warranted an 8 out of 10.
Dale Binns scored for Chertsey Town in the Combined Counties.

Becoming a bit of a journeyman. Never seemed to have settled at a League club since leaving Dover.

Biamou tore his acl playing for Coventry on Tuesday night and is likely to be out for several months. Gee that's bad news. If it's torn and he has an op then he's out for the season and possibly the start of next season
