I'll kick this off!
I can see both points of view on this subject.
I can come up with shed loads of ideas and I genuinely think people need to come forward with plenty - you never know what will come out.
However I can also see that I am not a practical person - I also get bored very easily and........
Erm anyway we have a limited number of people who give up their time and because of this we are limited on what we can do.
Let us accept the fact that most people can only offer irregular help and not every week. But there is little point in shouting down ideas and saying 'you do it then' or 'put your hand in your wallet' it simply demotivates everyone - those who help out already because they just keep being reminded that they are part of a small hardy bunch! Also stops people from suggesting things as they will say 'what is the point'
Once an idea is 'out there' you never know where it will end up.
For example my idea is stemmed from the 'stall on the high street' I realise it would be difficult to get theman person power to keep it running (plus I suspect it would be a magnet for the wonderful yoof in the High Street)
However I am often out and about in the morning and have no problem wearing my shirt in town - maybe we could start an offer where we have a 'most wanted' list on the website and if people can get photo's of all or any of the people they can get reduced/free entry.
I also think we should make a meeting place in the town and all walk to the club together - shows the club colours in the town and maybe people will want to know.
These ideas require polishing, thinking about and adjusting. But I can tell you from past experience neither Millsy or DF have ever rejected an idea outright no matter how insane they may have thought it was - they try to make things workable (not always possible)
So if you have a suggestion pop it here! Don't directly complain about the way something is done currently because people do their best, but there may well be a better way that no one had considered yet.
If you are someone involved please don't take anything personally and your input to the club is appreciated!
Also if you have some time to spare I am sure that a role could be found for you to help out at the club in some way.
