Uh-huh. But of course we can only afford to assume that other results won't go our way. It's ours that matter.

Lowestoft have now gone 8 games without a win, and their last win was against Croydon just before we beat them. With their games in hand, whereas a couple of weeks ago theoretically they could catch us, now they can't get any higher than 4th with their games in hand.
Bury and Tonbridge are still looking the most likely now to challenge us. Although Lowestoft stilll have to ply Bury twice and Tonbridge, they still have a part to play for sure

8 games? Really?! As Jared says though, still 2 months left. Lowestoft could do a lot in that time, particularly as they've more to play than anyone else (except Hendon) Edit: Form guide says Lowestoft WDDDLLD - so that's 6 games without a win, unless I've misread something.
Edit again: forgot to include our game on Saturday!

Obviously we have to do our job, but its in our hands (don't care what anyone says it is) now and 2 wins would be massive. In fact even a win and a draw but we have to do it!!

Ks did us a big favour tonight. The main threats now are Tonbridge and Bury.

Cant believe Tonbridge game is off! Has been raining here this afternoon but not really heavy and no rain for the last couple of hours. Trying to save themselves for Saturday perhaps? I live approx 9 miles from the Tonbridge ground and its ok here. Well, Wellie, Able & I were supposed to be attending, I'd rung at 6-30 to be told "game is on", and had just got to within 5 mins of the ground when Millsy rang to say "turn around".......Able was still 15 mins away and had already phoned me to tell me how torrential the rain was on the M25 and to ask If I was I sure it was still on at 6.55 !

Tonbridge look to be our main threat but how good are they? Was that just a blip at Croydon? Bury have to play Lowestoft twice shortly and i have a feeling that Lowestoft will win both.

Last night's game at Vale Farm took place (the only game in the Combined Counties Premier that survived ), so not sure how the pitch is this morning.........luckily, the sun is out and it's warm, so it may dry out.

Judging by the NLP report and commnents on the TA forum, Angels were unlucky to lose at Croydon Ath. It seems they bombarded the home goal but found Athletic keeper Charlie Mitten in inspired form. There seems to be an acceptance on the Lowestoft forum that a play-off place is now the most they can hope for this season. Their fans have started arguing with each other, usually a sign that things aren't going too well!

No doubt in my mind this is a 3 horse race now, even if there are a lot of games left. Our task on Saturday has been made slightly harder because of the additional rest Tonbridge get but it is up to us to overcome these sorts of tests. We have kept a very settled side in recent games but I guess there is a possibility that Dos will use a bit more use of the squad for these 2 games. Would be great to heap the pressure on Tonbridge for Saturday by winning tonight.
