Trouble is, Ohhahh, Cray are now in 8th place and Concord 9th. And if you count those two as 'top' sides then you also need to include Canvey and Harrow, who are just below them but with games in hand.

Quite right AA, and should we come a cropper on the run-in then we might need to keep an eye on who's likely to nab that 5th spot, so I will expand it to 'top twelve'.

If any of the chasing pack get amongst this lot, I'm giving up! Some interesting suppositions though - We still appear to have the best run in, and Lowestoft's seems better than Bury's. As for Crayfish - You are the weakest link, goodbye-
Sutton H Bury, (9/4) A H'church (19/3), Billericay (30/4) (3 top 12)
Bury H Concord (19/3), W’stone (30/4) A Harrow (22/3), L'stoft (25/4), Sutton (9/4), Billericay (26/3) (6 top 12)
L'stoft H Crayfish (12/3), Bury (25/4), T'bridge (2/4), Harrow (16/4) A K'stonian (19/3), (5 top 12)
T'bridge H None! A Canvey (19/3), L'stoft (2/4), Harrow (23/4) (3 top 12)
K'stonian H L'stoft (19/3), Crayfish (9/4) A Concord (12/3), H’church (23/4) (4 top 12)
Billericay H Bury (26/3), Sutton (30/4) A Crayfish (22/3), Wealdstone (16/4) (4 top 12)
H’church H Sutton (19/3), K’stonian (23/4) A Harrow (12/3), Canvey (16/4) (4 top 12)
Crayfish H None! A L’stoft (12/3), Billericay (22/3), W’stone (4/4), K’stonian, Harrow (30/4) (5 top 12)
Concord H K’stonian (12/3) A (Bury 19/3), Wealdstone (2/4), Canvey (25/4) (4 top 12)
Canvey H T’bridge (19/3), Hornchurch (16/4), Concord (25/4) A (3 top 12)
Harrow H H’church (12/3), Bury (22/3), Tonbridge (23/4), Cray (30/4) A L’stoft (16/4), W’stone (25/4) (6 top 12)
W’stone H Concord (2/4), Crayfish (4/4), Billericay (16/4), Harrow (25/4) A Bury (30/4) (5 top 12)

Looking on the positive side, as it stands at the moment we'll probably get Histon & Eastbourne, although Hayes/Y & Cambridge are not completely safe...

Well only us and Bury can't finish bottom now!
Although I enjoy this thread (usually because its good to see how things change week on week), one thing this league has shown this season is it can throw up some very odd results - Tonbridge losing to Croydon, us losing at Horsham etc.
I don't prescribe to the cobblers said a couple of weeks ago that the team who wins will be the 'weakest winners of the league in years' - for the first time in a long time, the title race is still very much alive in March - you certainly can't have said that in the last 2 seasons. It means that there are more strong teams this year than before.

Update - going on Dos's target of 84 points, if we reach that target, mathematically only 3 other teams can - Bury, Tonbridge and Lowestoft - although Tonbridge will have to win 8 of their remaining 9 and draw the other one, Lowestoft have to win 9 out of 10 and Bury have to win at least 6 of their last 9 and a couple of draws to boot to get there.
As it stands at the moment we need a record of W4 D2 L2 as a minimum to get there. As Lowestoft have to play both Tonbridge and Bury, and we also have Bury I think its very unlikely that a one of us four will manage to win all our remaining games.
As an aside, the top 4 can't be caught by anyone in a relegation spot, and come Saturday unless all the bottom 4 win, Hornchurch will join that list. At the bottom, Folkstone, Maidstone and Croydon cannot mathematically get a top 5 place now. Mangerless Maidstone can only get as high as 13th, currently occupied by managerless Carshalton

A very telling statistic is the number of games each team draws and loses comapared with their number of wins. You can see that Lowestoft have a negative figure,Tonbridge are +1 and Bury are +3.Sutton have +8 which is far superior to the chasing pack and should win us the league! Whilst not 100% accurate it is a very good pointer & suggests that Bury are not capable of winning 6 of their last 9 games. As for Lowestoft and Tonbridge's chances, forget it.

The scale of the Bury threat should be clearer in a week's time when they've played their remaining game in hand. That's away to Harrow next Tuesday - and given that Harrow triumphed 5-2 at Bury last month you wouldn't expect Bury to win (although stranger things have happened in football).
Even if Bury do win on Saturday (home to Concord) and at Harrow, we'd still be above them on points provided we get at least a draw at Hornchurch. (And we have a much better gd as added insurance.) After that, it would just be a matter of staying ahead of them.

Half way through Mad March and time for an update, all twelve can still easily make the play-offs: Our run in is good, but no longer the best. Bury's is horrible. K's & Lowestoft have shed a lot of their tricky fixtures but at great cost. Both Harrow & Wealdstone still have the capability of doing a lot of damage (c'mon both!) Only Billericay, Canvey & Concord managed wins this weekend. At the risk of being shouted at, we COULD win this league at Folkestone Sutton H Canvey (26/3), Bury (9/4) A Billericay (30/4) (3 top 12) Bury H W’stone (30/4) A Harrow (22/3), L'stoft (25/4), Sutton (9/4), Billericay (26/3) (5 top 12) T'bridge H None! A L'stoft (2/4), Harrow (23/4) (2 top 12) Billericay H Sutton (30/4) A Crayfish (22/3), Wealdstone (16/4) (3 top 12) L'stoft H Bury (25/4), T'bridge (2/4), Harrow (16/4) A None! (3 top 12) Canvey H Hornchurch (16/4), Concord (25/4) A Sutton Utd (26/3) (3 top 12) H’church H K’stonian (23/4) A Canvey (16/4) (2 top 12) K'stonian H Crayfish (9/4) A H’church (23/4) (2 top 12) Concord H None! A Wealdstone (2/4), Canvey (25/4) (2 top 12) Crayfish H None! A Billericay (22/3), W’stone (4/4), K’stonian (9/4), Harrow (30/4) (4 top 12) Harrow H Bury (22/3), Tonbridge (23/4), Cray (30/4) A L’stoft (16/4), W’stone (25/4) (5 top 12) W’stone H Concord (2/4), Crayfish (4/4), Billericay (16/4), Harrow (25/4) A Bury (30/4) (5 top 12)

Another 2 top 10 clashes fall by the wayside. Regardless of others teams results we COULD now win the league at home to Hastings.

T'bridge H None! A L'stoft (2/4), Harrow (23/4) (2 top 12)
