That's what we expect to happen, yes.

302 at Cray today their largest crowd of the season! It would interesting to know how many Sutton fans made the trip?

Just back from Bromley FC and witnessed a very committed and skilful Cray (thanks guys) side getting their 3 points to still have a mathematical chance of getting in the playoffs. Bury looked very tired and dispirited for the last hour and talking to one of their supporters he said that a very strong Bury side played on Friday in the Suffolf cup final. He added that going up is not a priority as they have come up a couple of steps in the past 2-3 years and need to re-group. Nice to see James Scowcroft get his come uppance on the stroke of half time. Well done to Dos, his management team and our Board who have backed him all the way and making that great decision to incur extra costs by playing some home games at Banstead Athletic. Onwards and hopefully upwards and let's not blow it against Carshalton like we did against Basingstoke 1n 1999.

Reckon there was approx 40 U's fans at Cray today, maybe even more.
Have to comment on Bury's transport today; white coach with chocolate & amber detail - and c&a won twice today - well done to Cray.
As for Bury, no Scowcroft for the p/o's if they make them & Richard Skelley was ordered from the dugout near the end too.

Tired from Friday or not, Bury looked a very poor side today. Their goal in the last minute was virtually their only attack of the 2nd half, and to be honest Cray were comfortable for pretty much the entire game - their 2nd goal was great, their man just kept running with it and scored a peach. If they were consistent with those sorts of performances this season, they'd have been higher than they are.
Doesn't matter to us. Sutton United have officially won their 5th Ryman league title. Now losing that play off last season suddenly all seemed worthwhile. In my 24 years of supporting Sutton, possibly the most enjoyable season i've witnessed. A huge congratulations to the players, Dos and his management team, the board who run the ship so well, all the people who give up their time for the club and to the fans who have followed through thick and thin. I feel this season we've all been amply paid back for our loyalty. It kind of sums it up where 40/50 people from Sutton turn up to see a game where the right result gave us the title. Those people (Dos, Board and fans) didn't really matter too much at the result, it was more I feel that we wanted to be 'together' if we got the right result - in the same way that when the FA Cup draw a couple of years ago took place when we drew Notts County some of us wanted to go watch the draw together at the club.
That is one of the many things that makes this club very very special to me, and to others.

I do quite like Bromley's ground, especially when you can watch two games for the price of one as it was today. The youth match almost made me miss one of Cray's goals!
The Bury performance reinforced to me that they will not finish second. Lowestoft look the most likely to do that. We thought that our match yesterday was the most one-sided 2-1 of the season, but this was even more one-sided. The Cray keeper had little to do all game.
Oh, and apparently we're champions. Well done to all concerned.

I just thought Bury looked very tired TBH and they'll need to regroup if they're to make the playoffs. A home game would be most beneficial to them as I can't see them surviving a midweek trip anywhere. Especially without Scowcroft now.
They do play some nice stuff in the final third though and they've been top 5/6 all season. Good side, just fell a bit short.

According to a Bury fan I spoke to at Cray a lot of that side played on Friday night in the Suffolk Senior Cup Final. I do believe that they feel it is too early for them to get to the BSS.

I can't say that I thought Bury were that impressive yesterday and I would think that they are going to struggle to get 2nd place.

Duke looks like he's spotted something on the floor. Still not sure how he escaped during the comedy night wearing that shirt either!
