The sixth "Strikers are Key " draw duly took place after today's match v Eastleigh. Ball number 36 was pulled out of the purple velvet bag, a ball owned by the syndicate "AB, the Barry girls and Canada"
Draw organiser and ball number 36 syndicate member Adrian Barry delegated the responsibility of picking a key out of the green velvet bag to the Manager and lo and behold, Dos went on to pick the right key for this syndicate!
AB took the key Dos chose and duly opened the safe with it earning his syndicate £1,050 in the process to be shared between Anthony Russell, the Barry girls and Adrian himself. Quite a moment amidst a lively atmosphere in the Players' Bar!
The next draw takes place on 23rd Nov after our match v Dorchester. Thanks again for everyone's support of this initiative.

The seventh Strikers are Key draw duly took place in the Players' Bar after today's match v Dorchester.
Ball number 2 was pulled out of the purple bag, a ball owned by the " Midfield Five" syndicate.
Dean Sinclair took the responsibility of picking the correct key, a job he did with some aplomb. For the second draw in a row, the key chosen opened the safe, winning his syndicate £250! Well done to them!
The next draw takes place in two weeks' time after our game v Maidenhead. See you then!

The eighth Strikers are Key draw duly took place in the Players' Bar after today's 3-2 win against Maidenhead.
For the month of December, whilst Jamie Taylor is on loan at Eastbourne Borough, Craig Dundas will be the nominated striker alongside Jamie Slabber. Between them they added £150 to the safe today!
Ball number 31 was pulled out of the purple velvet bag ( that number's second appearance of the season) which is owned by "The Oddbods" syndicate. Syndicate member Lyn Baker was sadly unable to choose the right key to open the safe which, thanks to Jamie Slabber's brace and Craig Dundas' strike contained £400. That syndicate received the £50 consolation prize.
The ninth Strikers are Key draw takes place after next Saturday's game v Tonbridge Angels when a minimum of £600 will be up for grabs ( plus £50 per goal scored by Slabs or Dundo v Boreham Wood on Monday or Tonbridge next week).
See you then. Up the U's!

The ninth Strikers are Key draw duly took place after today's match v Tonbridge.
Ball number 39 was pulled out of the purple velvet bag, which is owned by Tony Dunmore. In Tony's absence, the job of choosing the correct key was delegated to Damian Scannell who sadly was unable to pick out the right key to open the safe ( which contained £700).
Tony wins the £50 consolation prize and a minimum of £900 goes forward to the Boxing Day bumper draw.
A reminder that on Boxing Day there will be three draws made - one to win " a day with the team " for two people giving the lucky winners a great insight into the preparation of the team for a nominated match; the second draw is for a grandstand season ticket for 2013/14 and the normal draw will follow as normal ( with all 50 balls back in the bag).
Two other parish notices if I may:
Grateful Thanks to the club for rewarding the fantastic support the team

Cont..
Grateful thanks to the club for rewarding the fantastic support the team receives on its travels by offering free coach travel to the away match v Dorchester on Sat 22 Mar on a first come, first served basis. Put the date in your diary now and details of how to register for this free travel will be advised early in the New Year.
Finally, a Strikers are Key lunch date will be advised for one member of each syndicate on a date to be advised in the New Year. Lunch for one member is another advertised benefit of the scheme and the date will be announced in January.
Thanks as always to everyone who is taking part in this great initiative. Hopefully everyone is enjoying the ride!
Up the U's. Onwards and upwards.

A slightly worrying trend? Passing the 'Strikers Are The Key' board this morning I noticed that No. 2 The Midfield, we're represented by Dean Sinclair, No. 3 The Defence,, represented by Jamie Stuart, and No. 33, Shawy and Telfs speaks for it's self! Should we worry about the Strikers rep?
