Thank you Ian Hazel/Ernie Howe/Jimmy Dack - your poor job/refusal to take the job/nightmare season allowed us to get a manager who has stuck the course, delivered every season, been fantastic in his entire approach and made this club into a great one for quite a poor one.
Yet again, thank you Dos - your announcement has made every single Sutton fan happy!

We also love you Bruce, the management committee, the board, the community team, the gate staff, the programme sellers, the painters and decorators, the season ticket holders, the VPs, the ground staff, the playing staff, the management team, our fellow supporters and everyone else I have forgot to mention who makes this club so well run, so ambitious, so forward thinking and who give so much of their time and money to progress this club as far as it can go. We even all secretly love Billy for his different take on things and providing a different perspective. You could never explain to an alien why so many people do so much for such a small, non-league football club as they would never understand. They would wonder why you just didn't follow a big successful Premiership team. You can take your Premiership football and stick it up your arse. This is football at its purist. You have to be a part of it to 'get' it and understand why we all do it. We’re Sutton till we die!

Yet again, thank you Dos - your announcement has made every single Sutton fan happy! Another +1 from me. Wednesday was the 20th anniversary of my first ever Sutton match, and Paul Doswell is the best thing to happen to this great, grand and beautiful club in that time. We were a wreck before he came here (on the field at least -even in those dark days the volunteers were something to be proud of), and he's transformed this club, and given us some fantastic memories. As for the article, I had a massive smile on my face reading it, it is nice to read such a glowing endorsment for every one of those volunteers and people behind the scenes who make this club special. And Dos is committed for another 4 years, sweet! In Dos we trust #oneteam

Dos has had some hard acts to follow as the manager in the club's history. Sid Cann ('60's Golden Era), Barrie Williams (nuff said), Larry Pritchard (more as BW's right hand man) & Rainsy but all of the above have solely concentrated on the football.
What Dos has done but without treading on the Board's toes or at least usurping them is widen the commercial outlook of the club. Now, by committing his own hard earned in this way to benefit not only the club but those who watch them he rightly puts himself in a different sphere.
The one thing that really stands out though through this huge commitment is that he must really love being here and for that the club, its directors, committee, volunteers and yes, the hard core U's fans should be mightily proud.
Other club's fans have often labelled SUFC as arrogant but it is not arrogance that they observe it is a massive collective passion for SUFC, a passion that Dos has bought into from day one and has seen fit too celebrate in this way.
I hope he doesn't tire of it all come 2018, keeps calm and carries on.
Thanks Dos and yes, it is legacy.

Paul Doswell
"It was the club's fantastic support that drew my attention to the club and I feel one of my main jobs is to put a smile back on their faces"
He has done that alright and made himself a legend at our club and we are so lucky he choose us.
Always worth going back to pages 230-240 on this forum to see the utter despare about the club and its future as we nose dived out of the Conference sth. I don't think we have looked back since the appointment of Dos only forward.
