Tuesday evening sees the climax of Sutton’s Youth Team’s season as they take on Potters Bar Town in the Final of the Lucas Fettes Cup at Gander Green Lane. Having already claimed the Ryman Youth League Central Division title and Surrey Under-18s Midweek Floodlit Cup, the Youths will be aiming to complete a treble in what will be their third successive appearance in the Final of this League Cup, having beaten Brentwood Town 3-0 two years ago but losing out to Staines Town 1-0 after extra time in last year’s final. The Scholars, who will finish mid-table in the West Division, fought back from 3-goals down in their semi-final at Worthing before winning the game on penalties having scored three times in the last twelve minutes whilst Sutton reached the final having beaten South Division champions Burgess Hill Town on penalties.
The Final kicks off at 7.30pm at Gander Green Lane, and admission prices are £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
Sutton’s final League game of the season away to Whyteleafe looks like it will not now be played due to no suitable venue being available.

I shall be there to support the lads and say goodbye to the Rec End. Would I be correct in saying it will be the last game with the Rec End still there, other than the supporters match?

Thanks to everyone who came tonight. Some really tired legs by the end of the game and not our most fluid performance but I guess you rarely get those in finals. Still, the record for this season speaks for itself so congratulations to James, his coaching team and all the players for an outstanding season that has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of

Congratulations to the youth team for their impressive season and its been a real pleasure to do the gates this season for the home matches at Banstead, Sutton (including tonight) & that other place. Watching the youth team in the majority of their league matches and witnessing the highs (Welling in FA Youth Cup especially) and the one low at Maidstone in all three cup runs has been a real privilege - so thank you James, Will, Jon, Adam, Geoff & all the players.
Some praise also need to be given to youth secretary Gareth in one of the wettest winters recently which during that time "the ongoing County Cup match" got postponed 8 times over 6 weeks that took a toll on fixtures resulting in a fixture backlog that saw the team having to play twice a week for a number of the weeks to fit in (almost) all the remaining fixtures - Gareth spending numerous hours on the phone juggling the fixtures to somehow get them all fitted in

To add to Paul's excellent photos a couple of out takes from SUFCtv last night:
GGL Floodlight in the rain.
One final look at the Collingwood Rd terrace before it changes forever:
