First 50/50 draw made at half-time v Chelsea U21 on 12th July 2014 has not been claimed. The ticket No 141 was sold at the gate (Gander Green Lane) and it is hoped that the winner will present themselves before the end of the Reading game next Saturday

I'm a little sad that the Golden Goal has gone. OK you won less money, but at least it was connected to the game. Also of course there's been a Golden goal here since I started coming in the mid 80s.
Ah well - I'm not going to throw myself into the "We fear change" group. If 50/50 is better for the club, that's fine.

Oh right, that'll be great to have a variety.
Makes sense to do 50:50 instead for bigger crowds, because presumably you can only sell a maximum of 91 golden goal tickets the way we do them.
The only disadvantage I can really see is that away fans tend to like golden goals better because there's a certain element of participation: you sort of will them to score in your minute; you compare times with your mates and guess who will be closest. But maybe that's cancelled out by the fact that winnings are almost always going to be higher with a 50:50. I won one once at Walton & Hersham: the crowd wasn't huge, but I got something like £54 and I was well pleased. Never known a golden goal prize to be above £50 and that's rare and only really happens when it's a complicated one that factors in stuff like half-time scores and which team scores first.

Or you just what larger clubs like FCUM do and sell 270 rather than 90 and have 3 shared winners..

I'm pretty sure we have sold more than one set of 91 in the past when we've had larger crowds. The biggest win I've ever had on a Golden Goal was £40 once at Tooting & Mitcham ( A Surrey Senior Cup match ), but the ticket cost £1 rather than the 50p we charge, so effectively it was the same as having 2 of our winning tickets

Yes we have done more than one set, that's true. But would the prize money be the same or split? If the latter, a lot of people wouldn't bother. If the former, that could lead to problems if you only sold one or two of the second set and one of them happened to be the winner! But I suppose the odds of that happening are quite slim.
