I have read on the City forum this is a must win game for them. Surely it’s too early in the season for such talk!
We have a good record against Chelmsford since our return to the South five wins in six games. Let’s hope that continues on Saturday.

I like these must win games! Looks like its quite an expensive ground to visit especially when you add on the Dart toll. What's annoying is its such a dreadful ground for viewing.

...own goal by Chelmsford Final Score 1 - 1
Lovelock seems to have a few issues with the Referees so far this season. 1 Red 2 Yellows ??

Had the superb SUFCTV commentary on up at the ressies and had a little celebration with Callum Hart and Binnsy as we heard that the final whistle had been blown and the ten men had come back from one down to secure a point .

Team hasn't really gelled yet.We haven't been creating enough and its difficult to pin point exactly where the problem lies.I didn't know where a goal was coming from even when we had 11 players on the pitch.

We did seem to create more chances after Tom was sent off. Maybe it was the introduction of Dundas, he certainly gives us a presence in midfield.

To be honest Alan Julian didn't have a huge amount to do in goal as they ran out comfortable 3-0 winners but he didn't seem to be having any problems. Binnsy got a fair bit of action and played the first hour out on the left wing. I hope that's a positive sign and it was good to see him in the amber shirt again. A very nice surprise . Callum also looked in decent nick. One other interesting point came when the game had to be stopped for the removal of fox sh*t which was compounded by what appeared to be the theft of the groundsman's shovel.

Three games into the season, four points on the board, and three goals scored, two by Reindorf and one by our old friend Mr O.G.
Until the penalty incident today there hadn't been a lot of goalmouth action. Chelmsford looked the poorest of the three sides we've faced so far, fairly solid in defence but offering little threat up front once Michael Cheek had screwed the ball wide in the first few minutes. Their keeper had to beat away a Kane Haysman shot and turned a Ricky Wellard effort round the post, but we were finding it hard to create chances. Then Tom brought down Cheek, we found ourselves a man and a goal down, with an outfield player between the sticks, and that seemed to galvanise our players into action. Jack Evans dribbled into their box, poked the ball across the face of the goal and home defender James Love turned the ball into his own net. So the game's big mistakes were made by players called Love and Lovelock! We looked the more likely to get a winner in the closing stages, but in the end a point wasn't a bad return.
