Have seen this idea on a few other forums and thought it might be a good idea at Sutton as well. If not, I'll just delete the post. Anyway, the idea is that if anyone is driving to an away game, has empty seats in the car and were willing to let other fans on the journey with them, they could post on here that they have seats free. Private messages can then be send to discuss splitting fuel costs and other small details. Hopefully this might increase the amount of fans travelling to away games and make away travel more affordable. Anyone think this is a good idea?

Yes, I do. But I've tried to initiate it a few times and not really got any responses. Could just be me, though. And since that was from the other perspective (i.e. asking if anyone had car space) maybe it would work better if people who had spaces were the ones to post. No harm in trying, I reckon

I suppose a lot would depend upon where you are starting your journey from, as for an example ,i live 10 miles out of Sutton and would rarely go that way for an away game.

Fair point but in many cases it would be easy enough to negotiate a meeting point

I think it's a great idea johnnie. There are occasions when some non driving fans struggle to get to games (or more importantly get back from midweek away games) who could really find this useful.

The next 'awkward ' away game is Whitehawk on a Tuesday evening... Maybe anyone with any empty seats in their car can post on here
