Well I would just like to remind Mr Gayle of his comments last August, and I trust the new surroundings will impress the guy while we have maintained our 10-12k per week budget:
"If I had a budget of between £10,000-12,000 a week, it would attract all kind of mercenaries.
"I'm not like that. We're not a club that can attract any old, or young, player, to come in. That's what you find in this league.
"Wherever there is a big pot of money, you will find players will get drawn to it. No disrespect to Sutton, when you stand and look around, you see where they throw their money. It's all on the pitch, it's not the surroundings.

I really wouldn't bother responding to anything that Marcus Gayle says.
Theophanous is one of the best strikers at this level, but Staines tend to play quite an open game so I'd expect us to get a few sights of their goal. We want to continue the momentum from Tuesday's win at Whitehawk which took us up to 7th. If we win and other results go our way we'd be in the top five tomorrow evening.

It's always a 'awkward' game against Staines ... I always want to get the matches against them out of the way and if we can get 4 points off them during the season it's job done!!! Not a easy game ..... But one we should get a result from ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

If we play like we did at Whitehawk then we will win.

Team lineup according to Twitter: Banjo: Line Up: Julian, Amankwaah, Evans, Spillane, Hart, Clough, Haysman, Southam, Dundas, Reindorf, Osei-Kuffour Banjo: Subs: Williams, Wellard, Bignall, Binns, Lockwood Same eleven as on Tuesday - good to see Binns back on the bench. No Lovelock or Taylor though - indication of how strong our squad is at the moment.

Today's game was a reminder that football matches are won and lost over 90 minutes, not the first ten! Credit to Staines for their high energy start, but we were dreadful at the back, conceding in the first minute as Callum Willock powered home an unchallenged header direct from a corner, then the right side of our defence went missing as they broke through to score another. It could have been worse as Alan Julian was called upon to make two saves either side of the second.
Dundo started the fightback as he battled into the box and shot into the far corner, then MOTM Kane Haysman hooked in the equaliser. It was left to Jack Evans to see us to victory in the second half as he scored twice, the first a peach of a free kick and the second a cool finish as he continued a run through their back line. Staines seemed to tire as the match went on, and although with subs on they had a couple of late chances, we could afford to be pretty relaxed by that stage.
So having won only one of our first four games, we've now won three of our last four. We're up to 6th, but have a difficult-looking fixture at Ebbsfleet next Saturday.

Good result and performance. Defensively a bit of a mess for half hour and we need to be better there but can't complain with the response. The signs are things are coming together, the balance and shape a helluva lot better, and the confidence is building. Like the look of the right back. Lovely to not have to listen to the usual negativity from a couple of missing faces on the park side - improves the experience no end!!

We were staring at the abyss at two down and it could have been worse but for AJ's excellence between the sticks. The first from a corner which came from a throw that was blatantly ours not theirs and then a break away. The inept assistant even got that wrong waving for an impossible offside decision.
Sutton battled back though. Dundo who was immense this afternoon scoring with the outside of his boot and then the equally impressive Kane lifting the ball over Turner.
second half and up steps Jack Evans. First a wonderful free kick and then appearing in the centre forward position to finish coolly after Dundo had won the ball and got donr late in the process.
After that Dos rung the changes and while Staines enjoyed more forward play it was U's who looked more like scoring.
Neither manager will have been happy with some of the defending but full credit to Sutton for a remarkable fight back. Thought Southam and Spills had very solid performances today. The two full backs impressed and Jess worked v hard. For me though Dundo and Kane were outstanding.
Ref was poor at times and a complete contrast to the card happy fella at Whitehawk and allowed some late challenges to go unpunished. As forvhis assistant on the rec side of the ground a v bad day at the office.
A fine win; delicious entertainment and no histrionics from young Turner who once again conceded 4 goals to a Sutton team.
Ebbsfleet should provide a tough examination next week but we are beginning to click save for the first 15 mins of this eventful match.

Have to say it was a great game of football. Well played to both sides. Julian showed his class with some world class saves early on as we were slow off the mark but for the next 85 minutes we were excellent. It's hard to pick out players when to a man they were excellent but after last Saturdays debut by Southam it couldn't have been more different. He was absolute class and ran the show. Covered every blade of grass. Kane was also awesome and Jessy is a real handful. Well done to Dos switching Kane over to the left during the first half. That had a massive impact.
Also thanks to Dos for pulling out ball 21. Sadly I didn't pull out the correct key so I have a tenner for each of my syndicate members.
Finally thanks to the person (who shall remain nameless as he doesn't want to get ribbed!) for waiting 30 mins by my car after reversing into it. You are a gent.

Fantastic result today after the initial start we made. Kane was awesome and did not stop running and getting stuck in the whole match. The ref and his linesman, performance wise were below an average standard. Towards the end of the game there was a clear shout for a penalty after one of our players was shoved over in the box. How play was waved on for that god only knows. Still the result speaks for itself would of loved a fifth goal with the penalty which should of been given but happy to settle with four goals after a great comeback. What happened to Jamie Taylor today, according to the programme team sheet he was on the bench? There were a few chances towards the end from low crosses which I am sure would of been perfect for him to tuck away into the net.
