Saturdays getting nearer then - big game for our lot which on paper may seem a kind draw being at home to a team from a lower division. I however think this could be a tricky game - BH are unbeaten all season and have amassed 13 consecutive wins I believe.
Certainly need to play a lot better than the second half I saw against Bath last Saturday - let's hope we've had some good hours on the training pitch this week.
Anyone daring enough to have a prediction?

I will.If the real Sutton turn up we will hit at least 4 past them ! That's the big if. The real Sutton has failed to turn up more often than not this season. They may have won x number on the bounce, but form counts for nothing in the cup - how many were we on when we got humbled by Alton, and more recently how many games without defeat before we got royally done by Dover in the play offs? Hemel were on a similar run last season when we played them, and thanks to a couple of lucky penalties they took us to a replay. One off games are always going to have that quality. Like I said earlier, if we play like we did 2nd half last week/ at FC Romania or like we did at Ebbsfleet, we're out. And playing at that standard, we can't have any complaints if we are. In a normal season we'd be more confident about getting a result. But also remember it was only a couple of seasons ago where at this point in the season, we'd only just our first league win and went on to get a lot stronger. As I also said before the last round, there will be a couple of players whose wage will depend on getting a result in this round. If anything players are playing to stay at the club to a certain degree.

I will.If the real Sutton turn up we will hit at least 4 past them ! That is what we and possibly the players thought before the Alton game. The big difference this time, is the good form BH bring to the game. It should work to our advantage as most fans and hopefully the players will treat them with respect. Against Alton the team seemed to lack shape, it can't be allowed to happen on Saturday.

Against Alton the team seemed to lack shape, it can't be allowed to happen on Saturday. For long periods of many games this season, the team seemed to lack shape. You don't need to go that far back to see that.

Cup shocks happen as we all know.I don't quite understand your comment Stewart that the fans should treat Burgess Hill with respect. Its up to our players to do the job on the day and having seen Burgess Hill play twice already this season i see no reason why they shouldn't.
If we lose ,we lose. Our main priority is getting into the Conference Premier.

Maybe we lack the passion when we expect to win and it results in a lack of atmosphere.

IMO Delboy wasn't being disrespectful but positive, which is good to see,we need to see more of that, and some of the team need to show it to,treat the opposition with too much respect and they roll you over

I don't think any of our players celebrated goals vs Romania (though could be wrong) It felt a bit like we thought we would breeze it so didn't celebrate the goals as much as we would have done in a league game. This carried through to the 2nd half and that was almost a disaster!

I am worried about this one but then I always am about these sort of games. The way we have been playing with periods of such sluggishness, I think we are ripe for picking off. 13 in a row is it? They will certainly arrive confident, if they defend well I'm sure they'll get a chance or 2 of us. Fingers crossed we are OK though.

So Saturday would be a great game to win and provide a springboard to jump start our season, putting life back into both team and club.

To paraphrase Kryten on Red Dwarf:
A superlative post, sir, with just two minor flaws. One, it's already been quoted in Media News, and two, it's already been quoted in Media News. Now I realize that, technically speaking, that's only one flaw, but I felt it was such a big one it was worth mentioning twice!
