So he'll fit in perfectly. Ooh. Another pro #ballerz on his way down, signing for us because it's October and he hasn't had a better offer. Can't wait. Why are you so bloody negative? Dos isn't stupid he knows how to build a team a damn sight better than you do. Its bad enough saying players are crap when they play but as Johnnie says at least give him a bloody chance. FFS, We have lost 3 first team players to retirement, we have one other suffering personal tragedy and that doesn't include injuries let alone other issues facing the squad. We have managed to get Spillane back for Saturday, and that is a big plus because he has been performing well. This is nothing more than a minor blip, we are coming back from this under Dos and the players he chooses! Rant over!!

Long term reader and spectator, first time poster after reading a lot of interesting viewpoints on not just Saturday but the season in general
From what I can see the squad is first and foremost too old. I'm sure we were promised a young and hungry team in the summer and that couldn't be further from what we have at the moment, which mostly seems to be players plummetting their way down the pyramid at a rate of knots. I would rather see a younger squad full of energy and desire who wanted to make a go of building a career for themselves as well as making this season a success for our club. It's been a crap summer of player recruitment again
Daytime training doesn't work at this level of football. It attracts the worst professional players and rules out signing the best non-league players. We hardly seem to sign any of these kids being released by pro clubs as they will all be snapped up by league and conference clubs. We are a worst case scenario for a pro footballer and that's the mindset that seems to have enveloped the current squad.
Dos by his own admission isn't a coach and hasn't got good enough coaches working for him to make the most of this supposed world class facility that we pay for 3 times a week. I'm not convinced the players are coached properly so the backroom staff needs shaking up.
Why did we only name 6 subs on Saturday when we were allowed to name 7? Of those 6, Reindorf was injured and Lawrence is 10 years past his sell by date as a player so what sort of plan B did we have? Why not stick Sitch or Hippolyte-Patrick on the bench if only for the experience and an emergency in case we ended up 3-1 down and looking unable to create anything with 10 minutes to go? What was there to lose?
Bignall. Why is he even at the club? Don't tell me any of our reserves are worse than him. At least they will have a winning mentality. And why do we never sign an up and coming player from the Ryman? Wellard is just as bad and Hart and Lockwood are looking more like liabilities with each game that passes. We'll lose more games than we win if they keep playing so why not find some younger players with more energy and ideas to replace them? Might end up with the same results, but we might save a bit of money at least

I must admit I was never completely convinced by the idea of morning training and the long term benefit it has had on the squad. As I understood it was introduced to catalyst a promotion challenge however didnt we loose several good players because it interfered with their day time work commitments. Agree that we should give the new defender a chance and it is unfair to write the guy off in the first instance without even seeing him play.

We are Conference South so we will get pros on way down, young players on way up, solid proven performers at the level or others found wanting. The key is picking the right ones. Clearly we haven't got it spot on this year but you cant get it right all the time, noone does.

Remember when we look at other clubs message boards and poke fun at them "going into meltdown" because they've lost a few games. That's us. I'm sure there are a few fans from other clubs having a good chuckle at us.
Anyone who "doesn't tow the party line" is as welcome as those who look like they do. Personally I don't think anyone here does, some people may just have the opinion of unwavering support to Dos and the club. No crime in that is there? Either way this forum gives supporters a right to reply. All I'll say is that what you write here, anyone in the world can read.
I can assure you that everything I post on here is my opinion alone. I wouldn't like to speak for others, but I reckon that applies to pretty much everyone on here. I don't agree with everyone, everyone doesn't agree with me.
With my admin hat on, everyone is welcome here who wants to voice an opinion, good or otherwise, about our club. I, like the other admins, however will draw a line when things start getting personal.

If you look through the thread, lots of posts both before and after yours express vastly different opinions.

Last year Dos released the bad and brought in the good, this season will not be any different, would love to see a strong quick defender at the back (downer type)
