Next Saturday, after the match v Bishop's Stortford, Paul Doswell will be holding another of the ever- popular Q & A sessions where fans get the chance to put their questions straight to the man who matters.
The session will be held in the VPs' bar between 5-6pm. All fans are invited and encouraged to attend. Put the rashers and eggs back an hour and make sure you come along to what is always an interesting, illuminating and informative event....and make sure you ask the questions; otherwise the event doesn't really work!
The 7th Strikers are Key draw will follow immediately afterwards at 6pm when a minimum of £200 will be up for grabs.
Onwards and upwards.
Up the U's!

Very many thanks to Dos for the honest, open and insightful 90 minute Q&A session and discussion after today's game. The VPs' bar was packed and It is always great to hear his views in this forum, and I'm sure all Sutton fans present left the room feeling excited about the road ahead.

What a waste of time, could not hear a thing until halfway through when the Bishop Stortford fans finally shut up!! Why not hold it the Boom Boom Club where there is a PA system when their isn't a function. As a couple of wags said we would have been better off in the car park! What I did hear was positive but I still feel Southam would make a better Captain as he is brash, in your face and very vocal. I like Charlie Clough but he looks as if he has the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Sorry you thought it was a waste of time bazualdo. There was, however, plenty of room at the other end of the room in very easy earshot of the Manager. Why did so many people secrete themselves at the far end of the room next to the bar where there was maximum noise?

There were repeated requests for people to come forward but hardly anyone did so you only have yourself to blame.

I agree, it was daft having it straight after the game in the vp bar, as a flimsy curtain is not going going to shut the noise out from members bar. It helped a bit when Dos came to the middle but only when he looked in your direction. When he looked the other way, his voice was lost again. There are nights when the club is shut, wouldn't it have been better to have it then when it would be quieter and could make money behind the bar on a night you wouldn't normally. At least all would be able hear and not have to huddle up, melting from the body heat.

I thought it was really good but I did manage to blag in right next to the guvnor. Note to AB. If you do decide to use the VP lounge next time give me a shout and I will happily supply a small PA system mate. That Stortford joker leaning through the window was a very clever boy.

So Dos gives his time for free and you want him to come up from the Winchester area on a night off to do this. He doesn't have to have a forum by the way but chooses to do it. I'm not sure too many other clubs do this. Also I reckon not too many people would turn up as a lot of fans are not local anymore. You all knew where the forum was going to be. I walked in straight after the game and got a seat. Perhaps some of you others should have done that. Also we weren't to know that Stortford would have some noisy fans that would stick around afterwards, a most unusual occurrence!

Wouldn't it be better to hold it in the Times Square lounge if possible ?

If you are going to include yourself in these matters you should firstly understand that there were several personages there who could not get a set because they were still working up to 5.15pm and they found it difficult even to enter the room

Times Square Lounge booked months in advance, the Q&A at rather short notice in comparison.

And thanks also to those who helped arrange it. I came away from the Q&A session more positive about the season ahead. There were 4-5 empty seats throughout near where I was sitting so the time someone arrived didn't have a bearing on whether they could hear. Lots of people chose to stand rather than move to one of these seats which, I would imagine, would have allowed them to hear everything Dos said. I doubt this would have solved the issue for everyone (although even moving to stand by the windows would surely have been better) but, in my opinion, there's little point complaining about something afterwards if you could have remedied the situation for yourself at the time.

No wonder people behind the scenes get pissed off at times. Dos didn't have to do the Q&A, ab didn't have to get the wheels in motion, and it was set up at very short notice because there was a genuine concern among the fans about how we were performing.
What's better - this or not at all? Either put your money where your mouth is and sort it out yourselves or accept the circumstances. Thank you again to Dos for giving us his time and wisdom, and to AB for making it happen.
