Can't understand why our home form has dipped so badly,we used to confident of a victory nine times out of ten.we need to turn GGL back into a fortress Think that's the point - I don't think anyone knows why it's become so bad. In the general scheme of things we do have performances like we did on Saturday most seasons where we just don't turn up. But usually they are squeezed in between much better ones and positive results. Because of what can only be described as an awful run, it's just more obvious.

I understand that the players were put through one of the hardest sessions of the season at training today. Paul's response to Saturdays efforts?

I hope Bedsente trained hard now he doesn't have 2 weeks off. It just goes to show our luck this season overturning 2 red cards is unheard of at our level.

Didn't realise it was an alleged push he was sent off for - I thought it was the lunge, so I'd like to apologise for calling him Bedsente Gormless at the time.
I think what would be fair of the F.A. is to introduce some kind of recompense to clubs when red cards are rescinded. It's all very well having the player available again, but the damage has been done, especially in the case of cup games with the potential loss of revenue.

With you on the recompense issue but it depends on the nature of the mistake made. If a referee has made a genuine mistake that's pretty much power for the cause in our games it seems. However when he has been heavily influenced by the opposing team members reaction and we have seen some oscar winning performances previously, then surely there is a case for measures against those individuals and the team as a whole to try to stop this happening in future. I know it will never stop but if, like when a player dives to get a penalty, there is a posibilty of punishment then at least we may see a reduction. We have all seen instances of this unsavory behavior in the past and it ruins the game.

Hate to disappoint but the disciplinary points stay on the club's total and we don't get a refund of dismissal admin fee, £30.00 - salt in wounds, especially twice in a season!

There has to be questions asked when you are overturning 100% of decisions on appeal. I should imagine if we could appeal penalties, either not given or given wrongly we would be owed a fair bit of compensation. I think it is clear whatever we think of referees is that there has been a significant rise in what I would call cheating. Since Modeste throw himself to the ground in our penalty box in the 1st leg of the playoff, we have experienced it almost every game. Whether or not we are simply suffering bad luck, I am not so sure, having looked at other videos there does seem to be rather a lot of dubious penalties involving certain teams? Like must of us I also watch premiership football, and there does appear to be 2 sets of rules, I doubt whether any of the recent penalties given against us would have been awarded by any ref in the top division? Another question over bookings, you cannot upend a player cynically in the prem without an immediate yellow card, but you can in the conference South? I seem to remember that the FA can punish players for diving, and there has certainly been some evidence to suggest we have been the victim of that on more than one occasion this season? And that's terrible Millsy, but I believe we do get our £125 appeal fee back?

I know they are as human as the rest of us, but surely it is the referee's responsibility to remain impartial. Not being a robot of course means that we are all influenced by other people's behaviour, but if it isn't a "genuine mistake" then perhaps we should also be stricter with referees. It is, I acknowledge, a very difficult job to do but who knows, it might help to have a better incentive not to cock up and not be so easily influenced.

I'd like to thank some of the team for trying to help clarify this issue.
