Hello All, Very new to following Sutton United. My first game I went to see was the pre season game against west ham. Its been tough at times seeing Sutton this year but at no point have I felt I needed to hurl abuse at our manager. I was unaware of the level of investment he has personally put into the club. Its easy to point the finger but there is no doubt about his passion and love for this club. We all need to unite together in hard times and hopefully now we have turned a corner. Richard

Time to move on, I'd suggest. What was posted on here last week was actually quite tame compared with what appears on certain other forums. Were it not for this thread, the post-Merstham reaction would now be fading from most of our memories in the light of Saturday's excellent win. There's a testing match coming up at Havant next weekend and let's get fully behind the team for that.

The spleen-venting after the Dover defeat was a lot more widespread (and by one or two who are now jumping on the moral bandwagon and clicking 'thumbs-up' all over the shop). Other than a couple of unnecessary swipes at Dos for taking a break, the rest was just the usual criticism, which is part and parcel and watching football. If we can't have a constructive discussion about some of this season's shambolic performances then we may as well all do a Taz and stop posting.

Quite - of course we are entitled to express our opinions and that's what this board is for, but we also have a responsibility to do that in, well, a responsible way. That is, keeping it respectful and not throwing out criticisms based on assumptions about things we don't know the facts about.
Dos does do a lot for this club and he was entitled to point that out when people decided his actions meant he didn't care. Nobody can judge how another person feels, after all.
But let's remember that as supporters we do a lot for this club too. And when we are all in it together and showing a united front, then we can do a hell of a lot more!
So maybe AA is right. Hoping that Dos can forgive those who acted out of order towards him (which I'm sure he will if they admit that's what they were), and then we can put this silliness behind us and look to the future instead.
