At the end of the game between Kingstonian and Bognor Regis tonight, a massive brouhaha broke out triggered by what appeared to be K's keeper Rob Tolfrey jumping on to the terrace to confront the Bognor supporters. As I left (and after everything had cooled down and the players had left the pitch) two police cars appeared with lots of flashing blue lights!
I wonder what those holier than thou K's supporters will make of it?
What goes around, comes around, eh?

Will Tolfrey get the push like the Ks supporters wished on our Wayne? Somehow I doubt it Couple of eyewitness pictures here twitter.com/shawma1

Was it this quiet on their forum after the Shaw incident?

This report is completely inaccurate. I caught the whole incident on camera but obviously do not know what sparked it. It was the Bognor fans he confronted though

Quote from a part time Ks fan
" Let's bear in mind tolfrey is generally a passive kind of guy and to my knowledge has never ever done this sort of thing before (Bearing in mind goalies will receive and hear the most criticism from fans behind the goal.) Now I can't comment on Shaw, the incident and his character BUT last night a bognor fan apparently attacked tolfrey on the pitch beforehand AND allegedly there may have been other things said or heard that were aimed at one of the ks players that he found thoroughly offensive from that same fan (these comments are being investigated.) That might be why he lost it, jumped the hoardings and confronted him. Anyway no doubt tolfrey will face a lengthy ban but hopefully that fan will also receive one after all it's only a game of football."
If that's the case then the club have failed in their duty of care of their players and the fans in the ground. It goes back to something I said a few months back - fans can be offensive because they know there is little chance of a comeback. I'm not backing Tolfrey as such, but if this was something that was going on ALL match and an incident before the game, then the fact the club did NOTHING to prevent this happening shows what a shambles they can be at times.

It seems that some K's fans may be remaining quiet until after the club carries out its investigation. Shame they never took such a sensible attitude when our own club were investigating the previous incident.
I stewarded that night and they were demanding immediate sacking (they were certainly not prepared to wait for any investigation) and also demanded police be called and an arrest be made for assault.

Whatever the provocation, as the K's fans pointed out back in Dec 13, there is no way a player should cross that barrier and get involved. Have to say the film coverage did not look good and if found guilty he will face a lengthy ban. Seems totally out of character because Tolfrey has always appeared to be a focused individual as well as being a very good 'keeper.
Perhaps too, those K's fans who blur the lines between abuse and banter as the fellow in the tea queue did that night in Dec 13 will realise that all individuals have a tolerance level and will react if that level is pushed beyond its limits. I know when I am being abusive and I know when I'm not - the K's fan in the queue that night certainly didn't.

By 'beforehand' I think he means immediately beforehand, which was at least the rumour. There was no suggestion that anything happened before the game.
Mainly because most of our fans were at the other end of the ground and weren't looking at Tolfrey, so we can't comment if we have no idea what happened. The Shaw incident happened right in front of a big group of fans. Obviously we're more likely to comment on what we saw than what we didn't see.
