A quick round up of what's going on to affect our division next season.
Firstly, congratulations to Bromley on their title - for once their 'expected blow up' didn't happen and beating Weston at a canter yesterday in front of nearly 3,000 people sealed it for them. I wish them luck next year at the highest level they've ever played.
The play off teams are also sorted - BW, Basingstoke, Havant and Whitehawk. It's now just who plays who, and the last two play each other on the last day of the season anyway.
In the Conf Prem, there's just one issue to decide - Alfreton or Welling. The two played yesterday with a 2-2 draw meaning that Alfreton have to better Wellings result on the last day to stay up. Welling play Southport who although not mathematically safe, need to lose heavily and have Alfreton to win big to go down. Alfreton however have Bristol Rovers who will return to the Football league if they win and Barnet fail to beat Gateshead.
In the Ryman, Hendon failing to beat Grays means that Maidstone have all but won the league. Hendon and Margate are in the PL, and probably so are Dulwich, but Enfield Town could still be taken by Met Police or Grays. Witham, AFC Hx and Bury Town have gone, and probably so have Peacehaven and Telscombe unless they beat Hampton and richmond, and Lewes fail to beat Bury.
In the Southern League, its going to go on the last game of the season in a winner takes all battle between Poole and Corby. If Poole get at least a point against Weymouth midweek, then Corby will need to win, else they will need a draw to go up as champions. The loser of that battle plus Truro and Hungerford are in a PL spot. Then one of St Neots, Reddich or Weymouth.
Oh and the bobbins are pretty much safe on goal difference, but have come so close to being a CCL club next season.
