The problem with these artificial pitches is ,there is no mud ! That's great news for John Parker, he has spent hours deep cleaning the dressing room floors during the close season.

I understand that the morning training sessions are more to do with coaching. Dos has said that he believes that minds are more receptive to new ideas in the morning rather than late at night.

I was really impressed by the improvements to the ground from last summer. However, as a traditionalist I am not a fan of this artificial pitch at all. It will almost certainly make me less likely to frequent the Lane as much as I used to. I appreciate the arguments in favour and wish the club massive success as a result, it's just not football to me Give it a chance first. You might be surprised!

Seems a shame to let the players in there at all. Can`t they get changed in those two new upturned Tardises we've got? Should be plenty of room in there

One question though - I assume the squad will be training on the pitch, so why remain with morning training? More cash coming into the club by renting the pitch out in the evening? A decision was taken to go with a morning training schedule. Don't see how this will change anything and I doubt money came into it. The initial decision for morning training at Guildford was that it was a lot less money than evening training. As we can train on our own pitch it means we can train at any time. Therefore you open up the possibility of having players in the team who can't make morning training. Just a thought.....

Might not have a muddy pitch, but who is going to nip a hoover over it every now and then to keep it looking lovely!! :-)

Just popped into the Club, first rubber going down on the stand side. The lads say that they are 'on schedule'.

They'd get along a lot faster if they were to stop playing Bridge. :-)

Day time rates are generally lower than evening rates, more of a bonus than a driving factor though, supposition or misinterpretation stated as a fact I think.

The White line seenon the left is the goal line. This appears to be pre marked. Behind the Gander Green Lane End terrace there is another bit of carpet with a white line pre marked on it, must be for that end. Quite suprised that the lines are a Ready marked.
