Usually get a tough match with these guys and they are generally reasonably well backed (far more last season than they have brought previously though a few could drop off after their start). Hope we can get over the line and bring in a much needed 3 points. I reckon if we can win a couple of these next home games things might start to snowball with people coming in. One massive advantage (which I'm sure was not lost on the club) in having the 600 season ticket holders is the wider population reached with friends and friend of friends. Fingers crossed that the team on the pitch can deliver.
Do we think we might get close to a 4 figure crowd? Probably a few away for BH.

Wealdstone always bring a fair few and make a lot of noise. Think even with the BH we'll get a decent crowd - if we can nudge up to 1,000 that would be such a compliment for those who have worked tirelessly for the last year in really making a difference to the crowd.

With the signings we made over the summer, we would expect for some games to be a class above the opponents. Today we really showed that class. We scored 5 of course, but it was the way we scored some of them which will stand out for me today, with the pick of the bunch being Fitchetts goal - it was a great strike but the 5 or 6 passes before that led to the goal were way beyond and above what anyone could expect from your average VCS side. Yes we were helped by the fact North wasn't in goal for them and at times in the first half they made us look out of this world, but I don't want to take anything away from the fact that today was a fine overall team performance from us. My only gripe was a couple of the yellow cards today could have been avoided, esp Southam's one. But overall that's a small complaint on otherwise a fantastic day and our first ever win on our new surface.
The guy behind you Stewart must have only watched about 10mins of the 90 - we made some great forward runs, and if he thinks that as "Route One" I suggest he watches Ryman League!!!

Delighted with today, I feel we really showed a ruthless touch that had been lacking last season. Certainly not perfect, we switched off at times, especially with the second goal, but overall very good value for the win. Was nice to get some singing going at the GGL end again!

Thought overall they were better than Truro and don't see them struggling to stay in the league. 3 of our 4 first half goals were brilliant and when that happens it just isn't your day. Think their fans were harsh with their ht send off but perhaps it is what it has followed previously in the early part of the season. I thought defensively at times we were really poor (e.g. got in a couple times particularly 1st half with long straight balls) so plenty to work on there but nice to come away from the ground having seen attacking intent and for us to put a few chances away. Good stuff. One other note - Collins don't be so daft in future!! another ref would have sent him off which would have been utterly brainless.

Was the Wealdstone Raider there? Good that he went home unhappy.

I didn't think Wealdstone were a patch on Truro. They gave us time and space which we exploited to great effect. It's easier to pick your spot with the defenders standing off instead of shutting you down! I'm not surprised they're at the foot of the table.
Let's see if we can repeat against Whitehawk!
