This game should be a test for the U's as they play the Tudors who have yet to lose away from home. However Sutton should be confident as their recent form has been good. United are likely to start with the team that beat Stortford on Saturday, the only player who won't feature will be Gomis who is suspended. Former Sutton striker Slabber is currently injured and is unlikely to play for the Tudors.

How many times have we been winning at home and we completely lose concentration and cock it up.

A three or four nil win would not had flattered Sutton. To end up with one point is gutting. After going down to 10 men we still had chances to win. Oh-well, maybe we will get a result next week, against the very average Hemel side.

I had to leave just before Hemel got their 1st goal. There's no way we should have drawn that game.
Some of the attacking football we played today was a pleasure to watch, but we did miss a couple of gifts in the second half.
Now when will we ever play Hemel and not concede a penalty or have a man sent off? Yet again it happened. I can't say if it was justified or we were treated harshly but Hemel must go into every game with us thinking they just have to stop us from scoring and they will win courtesy of a penalty.

Not for the first time this season I left the ground wondering how the hell we haven't won. I console myself with the fact that we are so much more exciting to watch this year. 2 good wide players (plus Wish coming from fb), a decent combo upfront. Much better and we are heading in the right direction.

The Hemel curse continues. According to two Hemel fans on their forum it was a good tackle and never a penalty!

It was a good tackle. Should have been out of sight by then anyhow.

It was a good tackle. Should have been out of sight by then anyhow. Yep! was a fantastic tackle, Hemel may go away with a point, but they also left with 2 bum holes each! Our play today was absolutely outstanding at times, and we were in a differently galaxy from them. We did finally get a in off, at the 12 attempt so can't blame the woodwork today. Apart from the disappointment today, we are getting better each time we play and over the season that will show in the table.

I wasn't at this game (as I was watching Bromley getting turned over 4-0 at Tranmere). I'd just note that this is the third time this season we've drawn 2-2 at home in a match we really should have won.
And was that our fourth red card of the season?

Doesn't matter how well we were playing, once again we have shot ourselves in the foot by not taking our chances and through our lack of discipline.
We didn't start too well but got into our stride mid way through the first half and went in two up and looking good for our lead. Stepped off the gas in the second half and missed a great chance to make it 3-0.
Not quite sure why we have Fleetwood. He is no doubt on a fair wedge and he can't even hit the target with two good chances that he had.
We did play well in patches but we need to control games and see them through to completion, especially when at home.
We wont be troubling the title race as we are not good enough to win the league but hopefully we can make the playoffs.

What's our card score at the moment? A worcester fan was telling me they've got twenty yellows and five reds. Can we trump that?

I did not realise the Hemel fans were causing trouble during the game! We were awful first half. Sutton looked a lot more livelier and at half time I was thinking maybe 5 or 6-0. As Mitch said it was harsh on Hawks being subbed after working his socks off, but "route one" was no longer an option and we had to play some football. Somehow, against all odds, it paid off. Soon after Potton pulled one back the dodgiest of penalty decisions was converted and we left leafy Surrey with a very fortunate point. As for the steward taking the drum away, whether he's a "jobsworth" or not (I believe there is a "no drum" policy there that most Hemel fans know of) there was no need for him to suffer the abuse that he received. This continued throughout the game and second half a bin was emptied of its contents all over the terrace and turned on its' head to be used as a substitute drum. The same steward asked - nicely - for the handful to not do that, but was met with more abuse. Kicking crap out of the back of the stand to make more noise proved that two hours in the bar before a delayed kick-off was probably not a good thing. Anyway, we got out of jail but I, and quite a few others, were embarrassed to be Hemel fans today. Wel done for the steward (Mark?) who dealt with the Hemel 'fans'. tudortalk.freeforums.org/sutton-2-2-hemel-t2222.html
