Sutton Common Rovers are a seperate football club and as such you would expect them to have their own forum Do they not have their own forum?

Please keep posting! I would love to attend more SCR games but watching United every Saturday means this isn't often possible, and travelling midweek to Sutton from where I live is always hard straight after school. I do follow the results though despite my lack of regular attendance. Hopefully I will make a game soon, the Christmas school holidays would be a good time depending on fixtures obviously

I am in a halfway house here, I think that SCR content should be on our forum but in its own section. We are obviously entwined to which I have no issue at all with, but we are also a seperate club with our own agenda.

Such a shame that it's even a topic for conversation in my view, what on earth is wrong with people! I'm (gladly) taking a hiatus from contributing to this forum and understand why others have, too. Really cannot fathom any bleating and am amazed that the contribution and efforts on inclusion have met with some frankly pathetic comment, very sad.

I know that some supporters choose not to post on here, but when I compare this forum to some of the others out there, it is actually one of the most balanced, fair minded board there is. Its not perfect but some of the language and conversation on certain other forums leaves a lot to be desired. Its great that SCR can post on here, but its just as good that others can discuss that.

I'm with Millsy on this. Read some of the comments last night but waited until today. The word inclusion came to me as I read. There is absolutely no reason for SCR to post anywhere different. The title is clearly marked so you know what it's about. There is no rivalry like Carshalton and Justin is simply keeping us informed of how our tenants are doing and thanking Sutton fans for their support. What’s wrong with that?

The board as spoken - 80% in favour of not creating a SCR sub group.
At the end of the day, each user reads what they want to read. If you don't want to read SCR posts, don't click on them. I think that pretty much ends the discussion.

I think its quite right to have a discussion & a vote on it.Not all of us our emotionally involved with SCR & my view is they are just another club who are ground sharing with us.
However as Andy says ."The board has spoken ".

The timing of this so called poll could not be more worse. Does no one read Dos' views or indeed that of the Chairman? Both listed the use of the 3g pitch by other members of the community adding to the "buzz" around the club at the moment. That includes SCR.
Can't believe anyone would post such an idea. You're more than welcome Justin; carry on posting mate.
And before anyone asks, no, I did not vote either way. To do so would have been to accept that such an exercise has some credibility.

I'm (gladly) taking a hiatus from contributing to this forum ...he says, posting on this forum If you don't want to read SCR posts, don't click on them. I think that pretty much ends the discussion. Right?! It really isn't rocket science. Nobody is forcing you to read every word on this forum! I don't think there's ever been a SCR thread that doesn't clearly state in its title that it concerns that club.

As an SCR newbie, they're the only reason I come here! A forum on the SCR site would be useful though. Certain info doesn't appear on the website news or match programme (e.g. whether "missing" players are injured/dropped, have left) etc. Not being familiar with who's who it takes a while to get used to what's going on. Having said that, the club are sorting out merchandise, trying to get their own ground, and I dare say doing other stuff as well.

Having said that, the club are sorting out merchandise, trying to get their own ground, and I dare say doing other stuff as well. Hi Ziggyb our Club Press Officer Gary Brigden asked me to post this message on his behalf. Thanks Ziggyb for your comments re: website and programme. Coming from crowds of 30 odd, where everybody knew everybody to where we are now is a bit of a step into the unknown for us. Things you mention such as suspensions / leavers etc have never been put on the site, because everybody knew what was going on. It is probably time we embraced our increased support, so i will be looking to start increasing the news we put out - but bear with me, as it is a learning curve for us. With regards to the forum, there is the facility on the Pitchero template to have a forum, but our previous attempt saw 18 posts in 2 years, so we shut it down. I will look into re-starting this in the next week or so. Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated and very helpful Thanks again, Gary

I can imagine the odd Boreham Wood fan reading that thinking "Cor that's quite a high number" In all seriousness though, do put up a forum - even if it's just a handful of people discussing the game it can be really enlightening (and as frustrating at times too).
