I'm sure Dos might explain at some point. Bailey was a favourite of mine when he was down here in the early noughties, a great box-to-box midfielder and scorer of great goals too.
Just read some tweets off the Gandermonium Twitter handle which suggests we fielded a much stronger XI in the second half. Worner, Collins, Cooper and Dundas rested altogether.

Our performance seemed to drop in the 2nd half, wind didn't help

Bailey was before my time at Sutton, but I've seen him plenty of times in a Middlesbrough shirt!

Would love to see him back with us. Remember as a kid thinking he would go onto a higher level. What was the score in the end?. Lost 2-0. Thanks mate. Good run out for the boys and also might be a nice way of building a link possibly with Palace for loanees if we ever need it.

Loanees? Yep I reckon we could improve their team with few of our guys!

Bailey was before my time at Sutton, but I've seen him plenty of times in a Middlesbrough shirt! The last time he played in a U's shirt was the SSCF in 2004, although we do have him on DVD playing and scoring from a 3 times taken penalty vs Canvey Island. Don't listen to anyone calling him 'Nicky' its 'Nick' he never liked 'Nicky'. He would be a great signing, has always been a class attacking midfielder with a rottweiler attitude. Played in all leagues from the Ryman to the Championship.

He ended up spending most of his time at Boro playing right-back, no wonder he never really took off there!

I decided to search Nicky's full name in twitter to see if anything has been mentioned and i saw a tweet from a Southend fan that said "Nicky Bailey in trial match today".
Don't want to get my hopes up just yet but interesting.
Here's the actual tweet. Ex Shrimper Nicky Bailey played in a trial match for National League South club Sutton United this morning. Move away from RH work well then

He told me Nicky. Must have changed his mind at some point after Nicky had already stuck.

I remember that run very well. Took place right in front of me. Would have been a great goal. The whole run? What was he doing - running round in circles?
