Terrific reaction from the players after going 2 down. On chances should have won as missed a couple of sitters but you can't win them all. A good point won and with results going our way actually in a better overall position at the end of the game. To the next big one vs Eastbourne we go and the undefeated run continues.

Can't fault the effort & probably a little tired after the Truro trip.Good comeback & only the post stopped us winning. Other results went as i thought they might, so on to next Saturday & Eastbourne & hopefully 3 points before the huge match away to Maidstone.

Phew! A terrific fightback from Sutton after a below-par 65 minutes in which some rather loose defending allowed Whitehawk to take a 2-0 lead - though, to be fair, both their goals were good finishes, the second a lob from out wide. We needed a quick response and Bedsy Gomis provided it, driving home just a few minutes afterwards following a Sutton throw-in. After that it was mostly us. As on Saturday, moving Tom B from the wing to a central position for the latter stages enabled us to get a second - again he outpaced the defence and, although forced wide and almost to the line, he managed to put in a decent cross that was met by Dan Fitchett. Until then Fitch had had a disappointing game, but he'll be forgiven after that equaliser. We might even have won the match in stoppage time when a Jamie Collins free kick came back off the foot of a post.
So that's yet another home draw for us, but with Ebbsfleet also drawing at home, and Maidstone losing, we've actually improved our position slightly. After that impressive trio of 2-0 away ways, perhaps the team needed reminding that they're not infallible. If so, today will have provided that lesson. We go again against Eastbourne next Saturday.

I was getting really frustrated by our display.
Whitehawk had their gameplan and were lively on the counter.
We just didn't flow today. Lot of long aimless passes which isn't like us. Then again after so much travel in the past 7 days i can't expect boys to play at optimum level.
Dos made some great changes. Slabber and Fitchett were to flat today. Jamie dropping deeper but they didn't dovetail well.
Dundo coming on allowing Tom to get up top and expose the space behind was a great call.
Whitehawk made some odd changes imho in a short space of time. Especially the 4 going off but maybe they aren't fit enough. There seemed a real bad attitude in their camp to. Arguing with manager, a violent comment supposedly to Sutton player from the 4 early in fast half overheard by a kid near it.
We showed alot of bottle today. Results were kind again.
I'm believing even more after today.

Well, what an impressive fightback that was! We weren't great overall to be honest but the spirit from the players was excellent and we could have even won it at the end. Big thumbs up to all the lads who joined us behind the goal to boost the noise and get the team going, hopefully it will become a regular thing

Today was looking like a bad day at the office but that turned around in the last 20. I agree that after the trek to truro in a day the players were pretty tired and it showed. We were not sharp in the first half missing some sitters and you could see the tiredness at the back. Throw into that Collins and Fitchett are not yet match fit and I think that explains why we went 2 0 down.
But saying that the comeback was superb and reiterated the point about the professional attitude of the squad and the fight we have in us.
We go into the last month of the season still with a decent chance of the title, unbeaten since early November and not losing a game in the league after scoring.
If we show that fight especially against Maidstone and Ebbsfleet we can and possibly be champions. I know it's still an outside chance but I believe even more now in this squad and management. Well done to those who really got behind the team (except for the "we hate Bromley " bollocks....it makes us sound like bitter Ks fans ) so let's get 3 points in the bag next Saturday and then get something from our first game in hand on the fleet....

Shame about that post, but with 20 or so minutes to go if someone had offered us a draw and points dropped by Fleet and Maidstone, you have got caught in the crush.
Unlike us some sloppy defending allowed Whitehawk a 2-0 lead but it did wake us up and for 20 plus minutes we looked irresistible. To me the change that made it happen was bringing on Dundo, they just could not cope with him. Having said that I think Hawk's first goal was very close to being offside, I can't believe we did not get a penalty shortly after for a clear push. I thought the ref was totally inconsistent with his cautions, did he book any of them?
Great fight back, 10 pts from 4, is a great return, and I don't think we have an outside chance of the title, we have every chance of it. Had that free kick gone we could well have been favorites too..
And well done Johnnie for getting the chanting up in that 2nd half.

Fantastic final 30 minutes and shows the desire and drive.
Could easily have won it. Gomis and Bolarinwa both put free headers over the bar and JC was unlucky to hit the post with his late free kick attempt.
On to next Saturday, but like many others, feeling very good about the upcoming games!
Well done Dos and the boys!!

What a great day at GGL atmosphere was electric thought we played better on Saturday at Truro but four points from six is good and hope we keep this form going and we won't be far off being champions the only sad note was that our manager showed very bad sportsmanship by not going over to the Whitehawk management team and offer a hand shake at full time can any one shed some light on this? football might be about getting three points but sportsmanship is a major part of it in my opinion

A four figure crowd today and they can't say they were not entertained. Impressed with Whitehawk again and it is difficult to comprehend how they went on such a long win less run. Torres is terrific at this level and with Mills, Robinson and Osborne they posed an attacking threat for the first hour while there no 4 provided some stregth in midfield.
We started brightly. Fitch engineered some space before firing high, wide and handsome and then sliced a great chance wide after getting clear. He makes so many impressive runs and his movement overall is the type defenders hate. After that though, Hawks began to grow into the match and while Ross Stearn forced a good save from their 'keeper Hawks continued to press and scored right on half-time. Some observers said that the scorer was off side but he did do well having been forced wide to fire a low drive home.
The second half started and U's were flat. A long ball was won with a great leap by Mills and Osborne raced onto it to lob Ross W with some aplomb.
2-0 down and it did look curtains but this Sutton team aren't on this undefeated run for nothing. We should have had a foul but the ref decided his advantage had been played and so from the throw (possibly a foul for over stepping) Jamie Collins shielded the path of the ball and Bedse swept it home with power and style.
Galvanised, U's began to use their change in shape and personnel to great advantage. Both Fitch and Bedse headed over good chances, the latter from a peach of a cross by Dan Wishart before Tom B chased onto a long ball jinked onto his left and then right before setting up a low cross that Fitch buried.
Perhaps it would have been a bit too much to ask for the ultimate come back but when Fitch was crudely brought down, skip stepped up to his left foot shot round the wall but off the post.
A magnificent come back that could be oh so important with 'Fleet being hauled back and Maidstone completed capitulating at Chelmo (a result that on form beggars some belief).
Thought Nick B and Bedse had great games today against a good opposition midfield and good to see skip do the full 90 even if a bit harsh on Louis John, if understandable.
As for the ref today; crap. Sessegnon should have been booked in the first minute for a wild swing on Ross Stearn and Dean Beckwith was equally lucky for his mistimed challenge. So the next two bookings in comparison were very soft as was Hawks' first. We had a good shout for a pen just after they had scored their first too and he made a number of bewildering decisions against both sides throughout. As for his lack of interest in picking up on the 'keepers first half time wasting, don't go there.
Well done to the Hawks fans for their support of their team today. See folks, you don't need a drum.

Our fifth 2-2 at GGL this season, but unlike any of the others we really had to fight for it (sadly like all the others I come away thinking we should actually have won), the energy levels were clearly depleted for a lot of the starting XI and that's understandable. It was just a shame that as seems to be the case quite often we huff and puff and work the ball nicely (though certainly we could have done that better at times) to create chances that we don't take only to gift the opposition their goals. I'll be honest when their second goal went in despite the amount of time there was left I did not have much confidence that we would be able to turn the game around from there, but it provided the team with a real burst of energy and from then on we were the main force in the game and the biggest credit has to go to them for even managing that let alone actually getting a decent result out of the game. We had a wobble and we recovered, something that a team that is fighting at the top and deserves to be does from time to time, whilst getting that third goal could have been massive in the context of the season not getting beaten 2-0 or worse could be even more so. We'll be ready for Saturday and expect us to continue our superb unbeaten record in the league with another three points.

Storm Katie ruined my planned Spelthorne Sports/Walton & Hersham double. I would have then gone to Boreham Wood instead but they didn't answer my phone call & there was no updates on Twitter, so I plumped for Tooting & Mitcham - with Sutton United's 3G as backup.
Tooting & Mitcham was then postponed as I was on the way, but at least Sutton United guaranteed a game & a new tick.
The game was decent entertainment with Sutton United coming from two down. Sutton will feel they should have gone on to win it & especially when a late free kick hit the post.
I liked the ground even though some of the old curved terracing has made way for the atcost variety. Some of the old curved terracing remains in the corners and the old main stand was a treat.
A decent day out thanks to using up one of my 3g lives. Rather poor show from Boreham Wood
