Think there's a yellow home AND yellow away kit - different sponsors, but same kit. Making sure that the away sponsors get their allotted 21 games but when we play teams with significant white so we can't use our away kit. So there is a home version of the kit with the away sponsors to deal with that eventuality. Does that make more sense?

I didn't realise the yellow away kit actually had a different design to the yellow home kit, I just thought the sponsor was different.

Anyone know what's happened to Jamie Slabber? Is he out of favour / leaving the club? He was not even a sub yesterday..

It was definitely last season's yellow away shirts that we wore yesterday. This season we have been wearing the yellow shirts with Banstead Golf Club on the front whenever we couldn't wear the white kit away from home.

As per the Official Site, Jamie was only 'on loan' to us until the end of the season ( and any play off games if they'd be applicable ), so as Skillspaybills has said. he went back to try and help Hemel's play off push yesterday ( didn't help though as Whitehawk defeated them 3-0 and cost them their place )

End of season stuff on the worst pitch we've played on all season. Daisies and dandelions. I believe they are going 3G next season but some basic maintenance would have been helpful.
Thought we played well first half, scored a cracking goal and never looked like conceding. Second half we was less dominant but always in control and Denzel didn't have a shot of any note to save throughout.
Party mood for the fans; some went a bit over the top. As for the stewarding - just fine. We should be able to keep our fans off the pitch during the game without the help of stewards. Just a bit of over exuberance and no harm done. Their 'keeper took it all in his stride too. Well done to him.
That's it then for the seniors. Youth final on Wednesday at Colston Avenue.

Well, no real harm was done but in that case, what exactly are the stewards for? I'm not trying to be picky, it's a genuine question as you know far more about stewarding than I do. If a spectator has entered the field of play and is actually taking shots on goal with a beach ball while the match is in progress, are you really saying the stewards shouldn't do anything about it?
As for supporters being able to control one another, I certainly didn't sign up to restrain men I don't even know from entering the pitch while I'm trying to watch football.

I was commenting on that particular incident, not in general. it was a party mood. In the end Steve K just took the beach ball and that was the end of it all. So, in effect, we did sort it out.
If you're as young as that steward was I'm not surprised he didn't get involved. Needed someone older. And where did I say you should restrain him? There was enough others around to have a quiet word.

We did try, but he wasn't listening. That's why I brought restraint into it. It actually isn't my responsibility - or yours - to avoid incidents involving other fans, although of course we can and should do our bit. It turned out fine as you say, but it might not have done. It isn't a big deal at all this time, but I find it a bit concerning that there doesn't seem to be anything in place to cover more major incidents. I just reckon the young steward ought to have got a colleague to back him up (there was an older guy doing the rounds). I see what you're saying - and what he was saying - he was very young, but IMO if he isn't capable of dealing with incidents that require stewards, for whatever reason, then perhaps he isn't the right person for the job (or better, perhaps he needs more support to do the job). I wasn't having a go at the lad, just questioning the point of having him there. Just food for thought. Apologies for all the doom and gloom laden what-ifs

Who was that bloke? Other than Nick The Hope he was the closest thing I've seen to a Hipster in the Sutton end. Was he on loan from Dulwich?

To be honest I think a steward's role is to be a friendly helpful face providing direction to supporters. Perhaps you may expect a bit more if you buy in security support rather than rely on a couple of willing volunteers. I wouldn't expect any of our guys to get involved with restraining or worse. Very little can be done if imbeciles are intent on misbehaving (not talking about this incident). All the stewards in the world weren't able to stop Millwall fans going at each other at Wembley in a fairly recent year. In my view that job is for the police. Thankfully we very rarely see anything that needs much action. Not a job I would want to do ever so well done to those that do!

I just wanted to say that SUFCtv like many of you has been to many grounds this season and experienced variable receptions. From having to pay at one ground (no names) just to get our team in, to places where the staff their could not do enough for us. On Saturday Oxford City were exemplary hosts, professional and polite throughout.
