In terms of other ways to boost the budget, given the club's increased profile of playing in a national professional league, might this be the time for a concerted push for a major sponsor - including naming rights for the stadium?

Hi Johnnie, unfortunately shares have to be in a single name. However, you could have shares in a single name and put in place a written agreement signed by you all to the effect that the shares are held jointly. Normally that might entail all sorts of legal problems but as shares in SUFC do not pay a dividend and are not traded above face value it is probably not an issue. However, only one person could attend an AGM - either the named shareholder or one of the other signatories as a nominated representative.
Sorry about that.

Time to spread the word and get behind this important initiative to give Dos the necessary ammunition to assemble the squad we need for National League football.
Just £10 per month (Jul - Apr) secures you two shares in YOUR football club and greatly helps his cause; with grateful thanks to everyone contributing this amount and to those fans (Jenny C and Clive K that I know about, but there will be others) for pledging considerably more in response to this call to arms.

I appreciate that a lot of supporters will prefer to spread the cost of share purchase over the season, but there is also the option of making a single lump-sum payment. That's what I'll be doing. It gets the money into the club coffers straightaway.

Hi Mark
Yes, there is that facility, with a minimum of 2 shares purchased this way ( therefore £100.00 cheque required) you just need to download the form on the Official Site under Boost the Budget ) and send it to Dave Farebrother at the Club
