By all accounts Billericay have done well out of it as have their fans. Plenty of ground improvements and a team now in the National South challenging for promotion. Yes they had an absolute joke of an owner but prior to him taking over they were a club going nowhere.

If you think that’s the end of the story perhaps. Maybe let’s review where they are 2-5 years from now.

Kieron went straight into the train wreck's starting eleven, but couldn't help prevent their fifth loss on the bounce, with Chelmsford winning 1-0.

Dropping out of the playoff spots was undoubtedly the catalyst.
Out of interest, I notice that Billericay (8th) have conceded the same number of goals as Gloucester City (21st).
A little top heavy, perhaps?

Almost certainly, our own promotion year we conceded 32 goals, they're on 37 already. We got promoted thanks to a solid back 5 Worner, Amankwaah, Becks, JC, Spence and the luxury of Easty and Bailey in front. You want to be strong, solid and hard to beat. Their reaction to conceding 5 on Boxing day was to sign Cadogan
They give circuses a bad name

Harry Wheeler back as manager, it seems him and Tamplin have kissed and made up!

Harry Wheeler back as manager, it seems him and Tamplin have kissed and made up! I expect it's because Tamplin hasn't been seen at the club in weeks....

With any luck, one of his equally dubious associates bought him a Blue Circle overcoat for a Christmas present.

Billericay have now dropped to 9th place after failing to win their seventh consecutive league match. Their last win came in February, which just happens to coincide with the period of time that ITV began filming a documentary about the club, something which Tamplin had been pushing for, for a while. The focus does not appear to be on football at the moment...

...and their losing streak also happens to coincide with Tamplin's return to the club after spending several months away. The club are better off without him in so many ways.

Billericay have now dropped to 9th place after failing to win their seventh consecutive league match. Actually They only dropped to 8th, its long story, so here goes : Truro vs Concord didn't finish, Footballwebpages is wrong, the match was abandoned after 76mins. Truro player breaks arm, he is lifted on to stretcher, but then the Truro physio refuses to move the player off the pitch until an ambulance arrives from the local hospital half a mile away. Apparently it took 3hrs and the match was called off, I believe some frolics were had leading to the Concord manager being lead from the pitch by Stewards. So Concord are 9th and not in playoffs, and Truro now have a game in hand just 1pt from safety.

If it was a local ambulance from Truro it would have taken 3 hours. Truro play their games at Torquay!

I see the BBC website has now amended the table, but without the above explanation, thanks for the update, that's quite the backstory!

If it was a local ambulance from Truro it would have taken 3 hours. Truro play their games at Torquay! They've been back in Truro since the new year. Very bizarre situation, seems he's broken his shoulder but was lifted on to a stretcher at which point the physio refused to move him. If he was on the stretcher they had already done the hard bit, weird. Also think it's a very strange situation to leave the poor lad laying on a stretcher on the pitch in the cold in agony for 3 and a half hours when the hospital is half a mile down the road. There must have been a better method of caring for him than that. And I imagine it must have been very frustrating for Concord to see a game abandoned for someone laying on a stretcher
