Just a reminder that the final league game of the season will be ALL TICKET. There will be no admission on matchday without a pre-bought match ticket. Please go to www.suttonunited.net for details of how to purchase a match ticket. Season tickets will be valid, of course.

To be honest I don’t really understand this decision. There has been a consistent 2000/2200 attendance at league games this season. How come there is a feeling an extra 3,000 are going to turn up on the last day of the season?
Play off matches the policy might be a good one but I don’t think so for this match.

On the other hand, some may consider that the prospect of bearing witness to the U's attaining their highest ever finish in the football pyramid in their 120 year history is a particularly big deal. I would certainly put myself in this category, for the record.

It's definitely a big deal, but you can understand the point, it would be very surprising if an extra 3k turned up!

Maybe just a speed-through-the-turnstiles issue?
It's an early kick off so less likely that a lot of fans will turn up well before the game. There will likely be more fans than usual. Getting a large number of paying on the day fans through the stiles in a (say) 15 minute window prior to kick off might be problematic and would make said fans less than happy.

Surely more to do with Aldershot selling the away allocation and then having numbers going through the home gate?! Can’t see us getting near a sell out in the home end.

There shouldn't be a problem with any U's fans who want to see the game getting in, they just need to ensure they buy their ticket in advance. If regulars have friends who may not get the message online, perhaps you can help make sure that they know the arrangements.
To re-emphasise, anyone with a season ticket does not need to buy a match ticket.

.....this has more to do with health & safety reasons than anything else no way are we going to get an extra 2500 for this game, not sure what the capacity is now. Could be a sign of things to come should we get promoted I understand the terracing at the GGL end is being repaired with extra safety barriers in time for this game. Its all happening at Gander Green Lane!!

Whilst it's a sensible option, delboy has a point about revenue. Mainly because of the limited options non season ticket holders have to buy a ticket. In an era when we can buy almost anything online, we must be in a minority in this league not offering online ticketing.
I'm not being critical to the club, but in an age where this sort of arrangement is going to happen more, then perhaps it needs looking into a bit more to make the maximum use of our resources.

Its all happening at Gander Green Lane!! What so more of those barriers are being put in place on the steps on the GGL terrace? Surely that reduces capacity even more. Also is there any chance the new crash barriers at the CRE and Rec can be painted yellow! They look kinda rank in brown to be honest, yellow or black I think would look best. Brown just looks like the barriers are old and rusty

1. Andy - Yes, the plan is to have online ticketing for next season but we did not want to introduce it for the Aldershot game without having had the opportunity to test in less important circumstances. 2. Ryan - actually crush barriers increase capacity, it's all to do with the limits set in the Guide To Safety In Sports Grounds. 3. Ryan - yes, they will get painted but at the moment the priority is to get them in. 4. DoF - In fact online ticketing introduces a whole raft of new problems. But that doesn't mean it is not a good idea.
