Hmmm - football is a game of opinions!
Can see why the ref. did not give the penalty - one could argue that Jamie contacted the Bromley defender as much as the other way round.

Agreed . Just a coming together of legs. Not clear cut either way.

Er so skip is on his feet trying to get to the ball. Their fella is on the deck and ends up bringing skip down and that's not a penalty?
Yeah right

Stone wall penalty and straight red for the defender, clearly impedes JC denying a clear cut goal scoring opportunity...

The Bromley player admitiid it after the game so yes penalty. So given the clear video evidence of JC being pulled to the ground, and the players own admission, I am slightly worried about some on here that wouldn't have given it. I would say get your refereeing application in now, the FA are looking for good young talent

I wouldn't put Billy in the young bracket.
No offence intended Billy.

Unless you are very close to the action or are able to zoom in on the incident then i didn't think it was clear.

But del boy, you made your comment based on the video.
It was clear at the time and clear on the video.

I said it was not clear cut either way from the video and i stand by that.To me it looked like JC went over the guy who was on the ground. Now whether that was the player on the grounds intention to bring him down or JC accidentally falling over him i'm not sure and wouldn't like to call it one way or another.
Doesn't make any difference as its what the ref did or didn't see at the end of the day.
