Assuming its correct that Barnet at home is indeed Tue 19th feb, who on earth does the scheduling?? As it it wasnt enough making teams play an insane amount of matches in the first half of the season they now see fit to make us play Sat tue sat tue for no logical reason I can see?

Football administrators and logic. Two concepts that go together as well as military intelligence.

Some bizarre scheduling for this one given the fixture is now less than a fortnight away plus Man United are hosting PSG in the Champions League on the same night.

13 days notice to get up to Manchester in the middle of winter, cheers National League. I thought there used for be a 6 week period where you could schedule the game into, why have they forced us into a game 10 days after the postponement?
Imagine it’ll likely be their lowest crowd of the season with the Man U game going on, that must take a large portion of their supporters priority, so hopefully we can take advantage.

It’s not too much of an issue getting up there but there don’t appear to be any trains back and the hotels are fully booked!! Although there is a Travellodge for £115!!

It's worth checking the north side of Manchester, within 2.5 miles of Salford City's ground. Most of the more affordable hotels in the centre and to the south-west, which are handier for Old Trafford, are fully booked. There are places to be had further afield, although I can't vouch for how salubrious the neighbourhoods are!

It may well be that the club will run a coach if there's enough interest (and bearing in mind the short notice, may be the only way many could get back)
If money is tight and you need to get back there's a National Express from Manchester about 1145 which gets you into Victoria at 6am. Not ideal, but then for 15 quid you are not going to get the Ritz. Quicker and a lot cheaper than the last train option.

I'll be driving to the game and home again that evening. I can offer up to 4 people a lift back to Warrington. A room at the town centre Premier Inn that night is about £70 and is about 5-10mins walk to Warrington Bank Quay station for return train to Euston the next day.

Based on the short notice Salford will have to wait until next season, that's if they're not a league side by then

It would be pretty ironic if we make the play offs at the end of the season and get Salford away midweek with even less notice!
If the league ended today we'd be facing an away play off at Harrogate....

On the current predicted final table, the play offs will be
Harrogate v Sutton Solihull V Wrexham
then
Fylde v Harrogate/Sutton Salford v Solihull/Wrexham
And my mistake from earlier. If the season ended today, we'd be facing a play off trip to Wrexham

One possible advantage of getting the Salford away game out of the way so soon is that we then have a relatively unchallenging run-in. In the last ten weeks of the regular season we only have two long-distance trips (Chesterfield and Wrexham) and three games against sides currently in the top half of the table (Gateshead H, Orient H, Wrexham A). Not that any of that guarantees anything...
