Both are reasonable driving distances as well.

With all those southern teams going down too (and at least one going up) our away trip mileage looks significantly greater next season doesn't it?

This afternoon saw the National North and South Play-Off Semi-Finals take place. In the North, both ties were decided on penalties with Spennymoor (4th) edging out Brackley (3rd) 7-6 after the tie ended goalless. In the other semi Chorley (2nd) were victorious against Altrincham (5th) by 3 kicks to 1 after the tie finished 1-1. Chorley host Spennymoor in the Final next Sunday.
In the Southern ties I actually went along to Woking (2nd) v Wealdstone (7th) and for long periods of that game it looked like it wasn't going to be Wokings day as Wealdstone went into the break leading 2-0, however with a quarter of the game remaining Woking mounted a cracking comeback to snatch the win 3-2. Ex U's Cadogan and Monokana featured. Welling (3rd) beat Chelmsford (4th) by the same score in the other tie. Woking host Welling in the final next Sunday.

Excellent match highlights of the Woking game. The first goal was a cracker.

I've had a little run of Not Police matches, the 2 play-offs against Salisbury and Poole and the Surrey Cup final against Tooting & Mitcham (with a smattering of U's present).
They have certainly surprised me. They showed great resilience against both Salisbury (game of the season so far) and Poole once they'd got their noses in front. The bigger shock was the SSC game. Played the day after the Poole game there were only 4 players from the first XI in the side and I think most expected a win for Tooting. However the Terrors never turned up and a very energetic young Not Police side were worthy winners.
I was expecting Tonbridge to come through the super play-off, not so sure now!

The Met have had a lot of success at Suburban and youth levels over the last few years so perhaps last night was a culmination of that.
